Cruise Control acceleration value

Featured Replies

Hi

Is there any posibility to modify the value of the acceleration obtained by pressing continously the ( + ) button of the CC ?

It seems like for other people with CC installed the acceleration is bigger by pressing the button than pushing the throttle....with mine is vice-versa (131 bhp)...

Thanks

I think the values are preset in the ECU load tables.

This is an intersting question. In our Fabia Vrs, the throttle input seems to be quite gentle, whilst waiting to achieve the desired speed, but on our Octy II it gives almost full throttle until the desired speed is reached.

exactly

also other Fabia with CC owners (with different engines than RS) describe the same feeling as the Octi 2 owners saying "my car is accelerating better with CC than with the pedal sticked to the floor"

the gentle CC acceleration in RS it's a little annoying because in order to achieve the desired speed you have to keep pressed the button so long...you're tempted to use the pedals instead...

there has to be some modification for this...

Like Stu says they are different systems so react differently. As far as I know there are no values that can be changed to alter this.

Unless for some unfortunate reason you have no feet isn't is easier anyhow to use the pedal, your feet are down there anyway then just set and relax where your speed is reached.

As I understand it the buttons on the stalk are primarily for slight adjustments in desired speed once set and not so that you can sit with your feet on the dash and drive with your finger tips.

I tend(ed) to accelerate using my own control and then hit 'set' again to keep the speed

if i need to accerate to overtake lets say i just push the loud pedal, then come off the gas and the fabia retains its original speed, took me ages to find that out - i was impressed
