Featured Replies

i have a mk4 golf gt tdi 110bhp and when you put the power down it hesitates a bit mainly at higher speeds was doing it arround 2500 rpm so i have changed the maf sensor and it was ok for a while now it is stil doing it some one mentioned the actuator spring or something like that please help thanks :)

was speaking to someone yesterday at vw action about my problem and he told me to post here as you have some wicked mechanics on here that might be able to help me

in the right section might help. sound's like an actuator problem but u would really have to see the car.

in the right section might help.

I'm sure it was originally. Do we have a mod at work?

BTW, I don't have an answer to your question but I'm watching the thread because a friend has a similar problem. Cleaned air & fuel filters, a tin of Millers' is next and then the MAF.

From Honest John....

"Intermittent power loss on TDI 90s and 110s may be due to one of the following:- sticking turbo due to dirty oil; dirty or faulty mass airflow sensor; exhaust gas recircularion solenoid valve sticking open; wastegate valve actuator rod sticking; faulty throttle switches; faulty temperature sensor; loose or leaking brake servo pipe or turbo boost pipe from fuel pump to turbo; faulty ECU."

Good on him for narrowing it down for us

But, seriously, that gives me something to look for. I read the HJ column on Saturdays, but have never looked at the website. Maybe I should.
