Red Warning Light just above head light LED flicks on under load

Featured Replies

I have noticed this morning driving my car to workt that occasionally when the engine is under load that a red warning light comes on and off again very quickly. The light is just above the light for the head lights.

With is being red I am worried that this may be serious.

As I said it is only when the engine is under a lot of load and thinking about it I have seen it before, but I thought it was just the tracktion light comming on.

It is difficult to explain what the light looked like as it on flashed on and of very quickly. I think it was like a picture of a pipe or something.

Does anyone know what this warning light that I am trying to describe is.

My car runs out of warranty at the end of May if it is a problem I will get the garage to take a look.

Any thoughts would be greatly apreciated.

Cheers

Your traction control light is amber, so it may not have been that. I take it that the headlight, er, light is on your rev counter and not between the temperature and fuel gauges. I thought all the 'important' warning lights were in the rectangular section between the speedo and the rev counter?

I'm sure someone posted a link to an online version of the manual recently - if I can find it, I'll post a link to it so you can see what it might be...

Green=information

Amber=warning

Red=something needs urgent attention.

What symbol is it thats flashing.

It sounds like the sensor for the back seats....

Yeah it is mine was doing the same .... i just made sure the seat was locked in correctly...
