Water marks.

Featured Replies

I noticed yesterday that i have two water marks on the drivers seat. Water is coming in some where. Has anyone else found this and if so was it easy to fix and was it fixable?

Might be from the upper horizontal door seal...

I've seen same problem on CZ forums...

I remember reading a review just after launch + the journalist had this on their car.

I thinks this is the review you are talking about.

erm one test car had a leak, they got over their wet bums, they liekd the car...

impressed with its classy bits and savvy design... got thumbs up... bad points disliked Jeremy clarkson fans and skoda jokes.

the end:)

Hi All,

Not posted on the forum before. We took delivery of a new olive green roomster 2 at the end of march. Really pleased with the car, exceeded our expectations in fact. We have the 1.9tdi with added roof rails and cruise control as options.

Re water marks: I have found that when I open the drivers door in heavy rain water drips in onto the seat from the roof. this is not the door seals not working it is just the way the water drains off the roof when the door is open. Its a design fault I think. I can't say I've found it much of a problem. It is worse if the car is parked up a curb so the car is on leaning slightly. could be remedied I parked facing the other way although I know that isn't really a satisfactory remedy.

Isn't it strange that even after all these years of motoring, they can't even get the basic things right!

Not really no. It's a production issue which can and will happen to anything at any time. Not defending it but we do live in a world where 4% of all new good develop faults in the first 28 days.
