On the show it took off but it the experiment was total garbage and their interpretation of the myth was that the plane could take off on a conveyor belt, the infinite acceleration part didn't seem to be taken into account as the plane was moving forward in relation to the ground so of course it took off. :rolleyes:

On the large scale test they used a massive piece of tarpaulin type fabric attached to a pickup that drove in the opposite direction to the plane. The plane easily overcame the backward speed of the 'conveyor belt' and took off quickly.

With what? drive from its wheels? Nope!, so the results would be the same nomatter the wheel speed ;)

The way they did the tests was crap, I am not starting a debate on the subject.
