My July 2024 car acts as discribed by the OP. Can't say it bothers me. A few steering wheel button taps & I'm back to my usual dash display.

The confusion that the Autohold operates on the Electronic Handbrake rather than as it really does on 4 four brakes via the ABS pump is not helped by the manufacture's description of the system. From the specification for my 2024 Karoq - "Electronic parking brake with auto hold function". The Autohold on my Karoq is much smoother than it was on my previous 2018 Seat Leon FR. On the Leon it was very difficult to pull away from a stop without a slight jerk. Some drivers blamed the DSG but it didn't happen if Autohold was disengaged. At night if stopped for what was obviously going to be a longer time I would apy the EHB which wod disengage the AH & extinguish the brake lights. Better for the driver behind me. Pulling away was then also smoother - 2 brakes to be release rather than 4? At the next stop AH would still be auto applied. I sometimes do the same on my Karoq at night and it responds in the same way.

My 2024 Karoq SEL has the 'full size' spare - actually a 215/60-16 tyre on a steel wheel. It does raise the boot floor quite a bit. If you also have the Varioflex rear seats then tipping them forwards, or removing them completely, leaves a large step. This spare could be used to replace a punctured front wheel as it is within 1.2% of the same circumference as the standard 215/50-18. A 215/55-17 is even closer at 0.6% difference.

The 2019 SEL is also available with the 110hp engine & 6-speed gearbox. My wife has one.

Ask your insurance provider what they think.

If you change from 225/40-19 to 225/45-19 you should inform your insurance provider. As that is not a standard tyre size for your model of Karoq they will consider the change a modification. If you have a claim an undeclared mod gives them a reason to reject your claim , or at reduce the payout. Such a change of tyre spec will also cause inaccuracy in the speedo reading (under read).

My Skoda app will give you access to the full spec of your car including any options fitted. It is absolutely accurate for my July 2024 Karoq SEL except it lists a spare saver wheel not the fitted 'full size' spare.

My Karoq has the full size spare - 215/60 on a 16" wheel, so close to the same width/diameter as the fitted 215/50/18. This raises the boot floor so that if the Varioflex rear seats are completely removed there is a large step down from the boot area to the extra space available. Also the step down if the rear outer seats are slid forward so two 'wells' result. The two options (full size spare & Varioflex) don't really go together. Not spec'd by me. I bought the July 2024 car used in March 2026.

The ability to slide the rear seats forward in a Karoq with Varioflex rear seats is limited by the middle seat not sliding hence the extra boot space gained is limited to a third of the boot's width at each side & no extra in the middle. This means the extra length can only be used for an object less than 1 seat width. Also if the rear centre seat, or the 1 behind the driver, is tipped forward it is necessary for me to move the driver's seat nearer to the dash. Rear passengers like the variable recline though.

A few days after I purchased my 2024 Karoq SELin March I was backing up close to a hedge (soft so I knew it won't scratch the car) when the car suddenly slammed on the brakes. Made people walking past look. Reading the manual explained it was a 'feature'.

I also found that the adjustment of the lumber support is crucial in obtaining a comfortable seating position.

I recently bought an August 2024 Karoq 1.5TSi DSG SEL with the leather seats option. I dislike the 'bus driver' high & close to wheel seating position of many SUVs. I have the seat set at its lowest position and as far back as possible for my leg length with the steering wheel set to match. It's almost as comfortable as my previous 2018 Seat Leon FR and perfectly acceptable during a 2-1/2 hour drive. I'm 5'11".

My Nextbase has a seperate socket on the windscreen mount that accepts a special Nextbase plug/lead directly connected to the car's 12V supply. The dealer didn't use when installng. The camera would then pick up the power through it's connection to the mount.

My Karoq doesn't have the USB on the back of the central console. I think they are an optional extra cost item.
