  1. I also found that the adjustment of the lumber support is crucial in obtaining a comfortable seating position.
  2. I recently bought an August 2024 Karoq 1.5TSi DSG SEL with the leather seats option. I dislike the 'bus driver' high & close to wheel seating position of many SUVs. I have the seat set at its lowest position and as far back as possible for my leg length with the steering wheel set to match. It's almost as comfortable as my previous 2018 Seat Leon FR and perfectly acceptable during a 2-1/2 hour drive. I'm 5'11".
  3. My Nextbase has a seperate socket on the windscreen mount that accepts a special Nextbase plug/lead directly connected to the car's 12V supply. The dealer didn't use when installng. The camera would then pick up the power through it's connection to the mount.
  4. My Karoq doesn't have the USB on the back of the central console. I think they are an optional extra cost item.
  5. In March 2026 I bought an August 2024 Koraq SEL to which a Nextbase 322GW front & rear dashcam had been fitted when it was supplied new. The dealer hadn't connecting to a 12V switched supply but it is powered via it's USB socket. It's not connected into the USB socket by the rearview mirror nor into the 2 x USB sockets in front of the gear selector. So I assume it's been connected direct into a USB connection some where. Why do this & does it have any problems other than slower battery charging? It seems to work OK.
  6. I owned a 2018 Seat Leon FR with 7-speed DSG for 7 years without any problem. Friends have same DSG in Golf, A3 & Octavia of various ages. No problems. The reported problem with that gearbox were in India {far hotter than UK) & problems solved by a change in oil spec. I've just bought a 20 month old Karoq with same DSG. I'll never go back to a manual but I'll won't have DSG without the steering wheel paddles.
  7. My 2024 Karoq has ISOfix on the front passenger seat.) can't remember whether the seat has a top tether point for a chd sest; probably not. However, installing a child seat in the rest would be much safer than in the front. My, small for her age, ten year old grandaughter often asks to ride in the front of my car but I insist she sits in the back.
  8. Have the transit blocks (fitted to eliminate too much movement when on a car transporter) been removed from the suspension before handover to you? Not unknown for them to be left in! I think the blocks are usually blue?
  9. I recently bought a 24 reg Karoq SEL that has a 215/60 tyre on a 16x7 steel wheel as a spare fitted in an official Skoda foam surround. The car's standard 215/50x18 tyre & wheel will also fit into the wheel well. The kit does raise the boot floor. However as the spare tyre is not a full size match for the standard wheels on the car it still legally limits the car to 50mph when fitted even though circumference is within 1%. I don't consider a spare wheel to be a true spare wheel unless fitting it places no limitation on the car. So I intend to buy a 7x18 alloy wheel (not necessarily a full match for the standard wheels) with a 215/50 tyre as a spare. I'll probably wait until the tyres need replacing & then buy the extra wheel & 5 tyres.

Hello, I'm back after 7 years away. In 2013 I bought a 2012 Octavia vRS diesel & joined Briskoda. In 2019 I part-exchanged it for a 2018 Seat Leon 1.4TSi FR Technology. For a couple of weeks I've been looking for a Skoda Karoq SEL. 3 Skoda dealers offered me £9,000 part-exchange for my Leon. Webuyanycar bought it off me for £10,575 after fees! On Wednesday I collected a Black Magic 2024 Karoq SEL & so I have now re-joined Briskoda. Two surprises were that the Koraq I bought has a full sized spare wheel & a dash-cam front & rear. There are a few things that were on the the Leon that I miss but the Karoq in general has a higher spec.
  11. I'm away at the moment but will check when back home.
  12. According to the relevent owners manual & brochure the 2019 Fabia has HHC. So if the Colour Edition & SEL don't then which versions do have HHC?
  13. Thanks for your response. I'll contact the Skoda dealer where we bought the car. A little annoying if it's not 'fitted' as the driver's manual & the brochure both list it as being a standard feature of the car. Although neither my wife or me have any problem performing hill starts the old fashioned way by balancing the clutch & manual handbrake.
  14. As I said in last my post - the car moves as soon as I take my foot off the brake pedal. I know of a web-site that lists the option codes for the 2018-2019 Fabia but yet to find the label in our car. Not in the usual place in the boot, as in my Seat Leon.
  15. When on a hill the car moves instantly when my foot is taken off the brake pedal.
