DPF Removal on CR 170

Featured Replies

I believe it is now possible to remove and map out the dpf in the CR Octavia VRS.

Can you tell me what sort of power increase this would provide and if there is any long term detremental effect to the exhaust or engine system?

Is there anything else that needs to be done to the car to facititate this?

What cost is involved and how long would firring take?

Many thanks

Scott

Hi

Indeed it is possible and we can offer that service. However we cannot at the moment source the DPF removal pipes, and so most of our customers have gone down the route of having the original DPF pipe opened up and the internals removed.

If you'd like any more information please get in touch.

Cheers

Ben, other than the peace of mind of knowing that the DPF isn't going to ditch you at the side of the road one rainy night, what other benefits are there to removing the DPF?

The two main benefits are a more responsive drive due to much less restriction in the exhaust flow, and increased

MPG as there will be no more regeneration cycle (fuel is used to heat the exhaust gases for regeneration).

Hope that helps!

If someone happened to have a cr vrs with dpf then got the sts + software from yourself. Could a dpf removal map just added to the original map for a discounted price if/when they got the dpf removed?? Would it be the same map with a little extra and could it all be done from over the internet?

Cheers, it just a question but would be very tempting!

Yes that will be possible, but at the moment we are waiting for the CR to become supported with the STS and the manufacturer of the tool haven't yet confirmed a date. But it will be soon!
