Got myself a new USB radio, as I was fed up with carrying half my CD collection in the car with me.

Took the battery off to be safe, removed old radio, ran cables for an amp and sub. All went fine. Reconnected the battery and tested it. Thats all fine. But now have a few warning lights on.

- Airbag (Yellow light)
- Powersteering (Yellow light)
- Exhaust system (Yellow light)

The powersteering and exhaust lights went out on my way to work this morning, but the airbag light stays on. Also found out that my one-shot up windows dont work either.

Blow a fuse or two some where? :S

Can't help with the airbag light, but to reset your one-touch windows just put the windows all the way up and then press and hold each window switch just in the first position (i.e. not the auto-up one) until you hear a faint click from within the door, that'll reset them.

N.B. The warning lights coming on after disconnecting the battery are normal.

They should all go off yes, might be that in the OP's case his airbag warning needs resetting with vcds.

Heyup,

Thanks for the info on the windows. Will try that later today.

The warning lights have gone off, bar the airbag light.
Is anyone near Aylesbury with a VAGCOM? Beer money awaits!

Thanks again. :hi:

Afraid I'm all the way over in Wilts, so can't help you there.

Are you using a CAN to ISO adapter for the radio?
If so, you might want to check the wiring as weirdness on the CAN bus will cause devices to not be there any more (So the system thinks).

Once the light is triggered, you will need to get it cleared, but I'd suggest a scan to see if it's just a seat that got caught, or if it's something that got undone.

Hopefully nothing more, but I wouldn't be 100% on it just being a reset.

If you want to nip up to Milton Keynes I'll do a VCDS scan for you.  Send me a PM if so.
