Do Eibach Pro Street s coilovers need shorter droplinks?

Featured Replies

Hi, just hoping you could confirm whether I would need short drop links to fit the eibach pro street coilovers to a fabia Mk1? I know that higher end ones like the KWs often don't need shorter drop links.

Thanks.

Morning,

You're generally able to get away with the standard ones on the Eibach kit but it will depend on how low are you going?

Not sure, probably won't go totally slammed. Maybe 60mm or thereabouts. What are my options for drop links. Will probably fit new ones and would like to go with meyle heavy duty ones but I think you only get them in standard length.

Thanks for the quick reply !

alot of folks use 04 diesel mondeo drop links, some ford puma.

I had the Pro Street Coilovers on my VRS, ran a 45mm drop and fitted shorter drop links from a Mondeo - they were noisy on full lock so I changed them for new standard ones and that cured the problem.

Great coilovers by the way, much overlooked by a lot of people but if you want to run lowish and maintain a comfortable ride I'd recommend the Eibachs to anyone.

Thanks Damian, don't really want to run adjustable drop links so will probably just try the standard ones and see how I go.
