Best snow lance / snow foam

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After much deliberation i have plumped for a Nisflik c110 xtra pressure washer which i pick up in the morning from screfix. It comes with a foam bottle which I intend to use in the interim, until payday when I can treat myself to a snow lance.

Therefore I was wondering if some of you could please let me have your thoughts on the best snowlance and snow foam for my washer?

I use autoglym high def wax so I believe I need a ph neutral snow foam?

Any comments are appreciated.

Cheers.

Les.

I've just upgraded from the nilfisk supplied lance thingy to this after Grizzle recommended it

Not tried it yet but it seems very well made, all brass and metal top and the nozzel is adjustable for spray width. the top knob looks like it regulates how much air gets sucked in to make the foam go thick. attachment for the nilflsk is included in the price

cheers

The link was was more for the alternative offers - the original GB on Detailing World was exactly the same as the one on Civinfo - mine was £39.99 too :)

In for a penny in for a pound. Let me know how you get on with it.

I've got te AB one. Used for the first time today, impressed with the coverage once I got the setting right for the nozzle and mix (just trial and error).

I've never used this before, whats the difference between the magifoam and super snow foam? I saw another post recently that included the autobrite lance and a foam that was supposed to "cling" for 30 mins but I can't remember what brand it was. Thanks in advance

Hey up Les,

Tried it out today after doing the Briskado photo challenge and I was dead impressed. If you've used any snowfoam yet with your Nilfisk attachment you'll know it goes on rather thin and quickly drains off the vertical sides in a couple of minutes. With the lance it actually goes on thick- on mine I waited at least 5 minutes and most of it was still on the car. It clung on that well that the bonnet and roof stayed completely covered until I jetwashed it off. If you scroll down that ad I sent you for ebay the guy actually demos the lance and you can see just how thick it goes on. It also used less snowfoam than the Nilfisk attachment, so the air mix really makes a difference. I'm really pleased with it.

Another trick I've thought of that works for me is if you use big microfibre cloths to get the water off this might help if you find yourself constantly wringing them out (I've got a couple that have a deep pile on 1 side and a short 1 on the other I lay on the car to soak the water up. I use the first one all over the car to get most of the water off then the second to finish the job). I've put some nails up in my garage and hang them up to dry between car washes, rather than leave them in the bucket. They are then a lot drier so can absorb more water/leave less on the car. Did it for the 1st time today and it made things a lot easier.

The snowfoam got an autoexpress best buy and again there's a video showing how well it covers here

Ordered another wheel brush too. soon I won't be able to get the car in the garage

Cheers. The video looks good so think ill go for that one, only picked the nilfisk up today and won't get chance to use it until the weekend due to work and training. I've taken the same approach with drying mine.

Got to do the wife's car this weekend and its bogging. Got some clay now too so I can do a proper job.
