Righty ho, I'm moving in a couple of weeks to Redhill. (Avoids nigh on two years of roadworks on M25) I know there's a few members in that area, so it does seem logical to see if we can arrange a Surrey Meet. (every time I read "Surrey Meet" it's to the tune of Murray Mints!!!)

So, as a feeler

Who would be interested?

Whereabouts in Surrey (and the surrounding areas) are you?

Anyone know of a good place where we could meet up? (Preferably with food and drink )

Was initially thinking of the 2nd Saturday of the month, so as not to clash with the Maidstone Meet.

Any other ideas?

Interested as long as i'm not heading home.

Based in Redhill. I don't know many places around here, though the Harvester in Salfords or the Air Balloon in Horley spring to mind. Only problem is they'll both have limited space just for drinking.

I'm sure there are plenty of other available places. Of course, we could always head more towards Crawley/Horsham to make it more central. Hopefully some of the Kent lads and others can make it as well.

Yippee! Am installed in Redhill now, so will look around for a venue. It may be possible to hold a summer gathering at the big red house too

There's a nice pub, The Black Horse, on the A217 Reigate Road. SWMBO and I used to use it for lunch after her dressage lessons up Horse Hill. Food was always good as I remember and a large car park. Not sure how out of the way it is for you lot though?

My personal view would be somewhere easy to get to/from, so on a main road would be preferable. Whilst tucked out the way places are nice, if a dozen of us descended on them in one go, the chef could have a heart attack!

 

Also a target day could be helpful, see if we can maximize numbers

The Grass hopper has a big car park, lots of car meets happen there and it can accommodate a lot of people food wise. It's  just outside Westerham

So we gonna do a new list and a date?
