Worth the Wait

Featured Replies

Well after the last weeks of hell caused by the disrep not knowing what he is talking about we finally get the car. All I can say is it's been worth the wait. Smashing little car. I have bonded well with her (the car that is) many scraped knuckles and blood loss fitting the mud flaps. Those plastic clips on the rear mud flaps are useless, they break as soon as you look at them. I did manage to get them on in the end. raised boot floor, luggage nets, sill covers and rear bumper protector all fitted.

The disrep claimed the Citigo had an alarm and single door unlock. He also said that you have to have the rear heated window on to get the heated mirrors working? (Glad i don't have to deal with him again)

Just need to find someone local to me to code the cornering fogs, coming/leaving lights and single unlock.

Looks good. See its the sister dealer of the one I thought when you mentioned your issues

Looks good. We've only had ours a month and the reg plate is already old... :-(

Looking good. I've probably 1-2 weeks to go. Like yourself I've got the mudflaps and a few other bits already to go on.

Any tips with the mud flaps?

Well woke up this morning and she is still there, still looking good. My 19 year old is up for a drive today with me not SWMBO! Swmbo is such a nervous passenger I almost have to drug her (what is a Valium or two between friends)?

RE Rear mud flaps

My suggestion is don't push the plastic bumper insert on as the instructions show. Try sliding them up from the bottom. Make sure they are warm as they are a little more supple. What ever you do Open up the clips and hold the outer bit of plastic when you push the clips on? Hope that helps?

Had to laugh when I found out the switch by the gear knob is to disable the city safe and not the 'Clarkson switch' (ESP off) that the disrep said it was? another one to add to the lost of complaints.

looks great!

Nice. Not seen one in that colour before. What is name of colour?

Silver.

Slight "champagne" tint to it in my eyes - not quite as "in your face" as the Brilliant Silver?

Just a superb looking motor. Well done and a good choice. Have fun! I presume it's the manual gearchange?

Yes we plumped for the 75ps manual as we have two young drivers on the policy. Our youngest (19) was always a bit jerky in our old Corsa, yet has taken to the Citigo like a dream.

Well I Had a meeting with the Sales manager over our problems with the purchase of the car and have been given a free MOT as a small gesture of apology. Couple that with a couple of other bits that we got thrown in. It goes someway to putting things right. But should Not have happened in the first place.

Free MOT? How generous. Let's hope he remembers 3 years from now!!

Whilst I was at the Dealer to get the recall done. I had to speak to the Sales team again as they had not filled in the service book to state we had two years extended warranty. 10 minutes later we got a stamp but they could not confirm that I had bought the two years warranty as 'Their system was down?' So the Disrep will contact me to get it sorted out (I'm not holding my breath for the phone call). So I will have to go back and show them the sales receipt which states two years extended warranty.

So should I ask for a free car wash for my waisted time?

I'm looking at changing my Ocky in a few months. Do you think I should give them a sixth or seventh chance at making me a happy customer?
