I like the Roomster

Featured Replies

A trip back from IKEA yesterday, 2+2 family in the car, boot packed full of stuff... and a couple of these plants ahead of the front seat (note height of 130cm):

All safely carried home and unloaded, no damage. Now I know why I bought the minivan for my wife :)

Still don't like the 1.6CR engine's thirst in town, though. But as far as Roomie's family use oriented design goes, can't fault it so far.

On the weekend I managed to get a six foot sofa to the tip in my Roomster. Had to saw it in half first but still very impressed.

Hope you mean the sofa not the Roomster! :giggle:

The thing that impressed me (along with some shocked bystanders) most, was being able to carry 6 internal doors (with room for more) home from Wickes.

Of course, I had to go through the tedious wind, wind, wind, & wind some more routine on the front seat. My new Yeti will have a fold-flat front seat (yay!!!!) - has that been added to the Roomy options now?

Having said that, I doubt the fold-flat seat will allow sufficient height to get doors in anyhoos, but will be super convenient for lost of other long loads.

Roomster 1.9 tdi 105 now fitted with tuning box from tdi tuning of Essex, what a difference . Now no flat spots and very noticable power increase (rugs like a train!!). Fuel economy up 5 mpg on work run (15miles) trip comuter suggests 62 mpg?. Can't think of anythink not to reccomend.Any one else had similar fitted??

See my Sig for full mods list B)
