Panoramic Roof Blinds

Featured Replies

For the third time in a matter of days my Roomster alarm has been triggered by the front roof blind automatically sliding forward when vehicle parked although supposedly locked into position. Has any other reader had this problem and if so any ideas on rectification.

The plastic clips wear over time.

Could also be because of the sun making the clips more flexible when heated

Do they not use magnets or something similar to hold the sides together?

I had the same problem on my 2011 Roomster it opened the blinds in hot weather/frosty weather, and bumpy roads. I told my dealer on its first annual service, May 2012, and it came back with some super strength magnetic catches on the faces where the front blind meets the back blind. Not had the problem since.

These fixed under Warranty today with magnetic catches. Genuine Skoda parts so they must know about this problem.
