I don't mean to sound rude a all by asking this, but...

Why? What reason does he want it doing?

The reason I ask this, is because we get a fair few customers thinking that they are like timing belts and need to be replaced at periodic intervals.

If it does need doing, be prepared for a large bill, since there's plenty of other "might as well while you're in there" work, like head gasket, clutch.

That is, if the chain is on the gearbox side like the 12v engines!
