Curing a squeaky brake pedal ?

Have sprayed about the mechanism (not the pedal!) with WD40 and it still squeaks/sighs every time you press the pedal !

Any serious suggestions apart from not braking, turning up the stereo etc...

You could try a proper lubricant rather than WD40 which isn't really a lubricant.

Although it has lubricating ingredients a lubricant spray may be better.

Try a silicone oil spray as it also lubricates plastic and rubber.
