Just came across this and thought I'd tape it up . In the Under Seat Storage Area it looks like theres a couple of circular plastic things used to cover up holes (which I assume are used to mount the box to the seat). Well if you tap the box theres an awful noise. See the attached before and after photos and a quick vid of the noise I mean, when just taping one plastic piece from underneath, imagine the noise from all 6 :eek:.

Btw I dunno if it will minimise the noise of the car but it all helps.

Ain't it amazing how many people have had complaints with the Mk2 interior noise, way more so than the Mk1.

yeah rattle is coming as standard mine is on 13 000 miles and the interior rattle makin me so sad , everytime i turn upp the heat or turn up the cold air , i can hear it rattle from the dash many times , especially on the winter when its is verry cold and when i turn on the heat i can hear it like popcorn is poping :( so boring and it is nothing to do if the interior is clicking , they use a bad material must i say on the dash , the material is also expanding , my old car vw bora 1999 rolled 25 000 miles , believe me the car has never never make a interior noise , from the doors or something .

Worth knowing, but i've not heard anything from mine in 45,000 miles.

I have both boxes (under driver and passenger), without noise.

but I think It's a good solution.
