  1. I'm now one month in after collecting my 220TSI DSG Superb. Really happy with it. I've also specked Sport Chassis, Progressive Steering and 19'' Sirius, so the drive is a blast... Have done 1,300 mile so far with it, 99% were done on A roads and motorways. @Rainmaker: the night before collecting it I have read again your topic on breaking in... Have done the "gentle approach", putting progressive load on the engine. The first 1,000miles have not gone over 2500rpm. Now, am using the < 3000rpm zone so have started to feel a bit of what this engine is all about. I am really impressed with the smoothness of the running and the seamless gear changes of the DSG. Coming from a Superb MK2 TDI DSG, this Superb MK3 TSI DSG is world's apart in terms of refinement. Can't wait to go over the 3500rpm zone, but that's only in another 1000miles...
  2. Great news, thanks a lot ! Really glad it is marked where to cut, so it's a nice DYI job - look forward to that. Look forward to your pictures
  3. still Pirelli P7 for 235/40/19 built in February 2017
  4. @Enriquez: how much was the lower part of the rear bumper from the TSI280 (that one with the parking sensors) ? That's needed to allow the tips of the exhausts to exit from the bumper I'm guessing aprox 100Eur ?
  5. @Enriquez So you bought the 750E set of pair complete exhausts from the TSI 280 ? Please come back with some pictures from installing
  6. One more - cheaper - source for the O3 VRS tips : http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/skoda-octavia-3/oem-5e0253681d-5e0253682e-skoda-octavia-3/
  7. I am not sure yet. I will collecting my TSI220 on week 10 and then I'll be looking to see what tips do actually fit. The plan is to get the lower bumper panel from the TSI280, so, new part ordering and fitting to the car and then, based on that actually on the car will search for tips to fit. And there is the cutting of the downwards oriented pipes and welding of new ones in a "straight" position towards the tips. These original ones from Octavia RS do seem promising: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-RS-original-Skoda-chrome-exhaust-tip-RIGHT
  8. Good choice - looks good Would they fit into the OE gap of the TSI280 lower bumper panel ? Are you changing the lower bumper panel to the TSI280 one, or just cutting into the OEM lower bumper panel of the TSI220? Do you have some partnumber for the A6 tips ? Or any suggestion on purchase them ? Your input is highly valuable, I plan to start this retrofit soon after delivery
  9. @MartiniB: have you also made the conversion to "visible" exhaust tips ? What tips have you used? Are those Octavia 3 RS tips ?
  10. Really liked - one again - reading your thoughts on the car. Especially since I'm 2 months away from taking delivery of mine :) Regarding the weird/dull throttle response, there was a fix through VCDS - setting the throttle pedal response to "Audi" - the reviews were good on this setting. Have you tried it ?
  11. There are only a few 19'' wheels options available: Sirius (available in Antharcite as accessories) Phoenix (also available in Antharcite for L&K trim) SuperNova ( all black, available as accessories) SportLine
  12. Not really. The Sportline Alcantara seats are different than the Ambition/Style + Alcantara seats. The headreast is integrated and not-movable and the torso support is bigger on the SportLine seats, due to their shape (it's pretty much the same seat as in the Oct3 RS) On the down side, the shoulder support is significantly smaller on the Sportline seats At 6 feet 3 inches tall (my size) I found the SportLine seats not confortable - the fixed headrest was forcing me to sit bent forward in the seat and I lacked the shoulder support from the Style seats. I missed the torso support from the SportLine, but, I guess you can't have them all (except if you have an Audi/BMW with the full adjutable - the multicontour seats that you can set either to be confortable, or to have a sporty hug) Plus, the SportLine has Alcantara on the door cards (the Style has that leather imitation) Plus, there is the "black pack" for the headliner material Plus, there is the sport suspension (this you can have as option in the Ambition/Style) Plus, there is the exterior trim elements (this you can retrofit from SuperSkoda, all elements available)
  13. For the owners of TSI220, there's another solution, from Germany, not cheap, but 100% OEM from the TSI280 https://www.skodaautoteile.de/shop/superb-iii/au%C3%9Fenausstattung/ Please scroll down to the last item on the page. Both end pipes of the TSI280, new and OEM, for 750Eur. At 40kg/ exhaust package, the freight cost should also be interesting :) What's very interesting is that they're including the motor that is opening the valve in the exhaust pipe. So, that means that it should be wired-retrofitted, somewhere on the car.
  14. EA288 = 2.0TDI 150 EA888 = 1.8 TSI and 2.0TSI
