  1. Hey, Have just found this. I thought I had IBS and went through the same as everyone else, crippling gut pain, tiredness after movement, constipation for 12-15 days. After a lot of 'go away and change your diet' appointments from the GP I finally got a GP that wanted to listen. I found out all my gut problems stem from a vitamin B12 deficiency. Before anyone says 'eat more red meat', it wasn't my diet that was the issue, my body physically wouldn't absorb the vitamin. A highly intensive course of injections in to the blood stream and i'm sorted for 6 months. I do have to manage these every 6 months from now on, but a small price to pay i guess. The IBS symptoms are now more manageable, i still take laxido once a day, but now my body produces the right amount of red blood cells to get my gut processing correctly. It feels good to read that we're not alone - there's plenty of sufferers out there! Becky
  2. We've done quite a few different ones... Clay Pigeon shooting was good, but some of the ladies were not fans Paintballing - as above, no buy in from all! Kayaking/raftbuilding - this was great fun, liked by all! Volunteering at a charity - giving something back (we painted a school staff room) Go Ape/ tree top walking Segway race day - a local company came to our office and then set a track up on the lawn Rugby/football hospitality might be worth looking at, plenty of premiership games this time of year Not my team but some guys all went for a day at the BTCC at Oulton Park Bit of a laundry list but might be helpful!
  3. Not quite the same, but my parents have just done this in their BMW car.... Some things they learnt which may be applicable to you: They went June 21st - July 5th - out of school holidays, plenty of hotel rooms etc.... They took the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk with a 48 hour 'flexi ticket' so they were not rushing to get back to their designated ferry time. They booked hotels in places they knew they wanted to stop (Bruges/Lake Como/Rhine Gorge) and then used European chain hotels for the rest of the trip. Ibis hotels - pick up a European book at any UK hotel - you can turn up there on the day, always plenty of rooms. Get a decent Sat Nav! Lake Como was 'not what they expected' and quite commercial. They stayed 5 days there, but ran out of things to see after 2! Switzerland is expensive - if you are planning on heading there you need a 'Vignette' to drive on the roads in any motor vehicle, which can be purchased at the boarder, don't bother buying one beforehand. Double the amount of Euros you were thinking of taking! Make a stop in Zermatt and take a cable car up Matterhorn to the ice palace - incredible experience. Not much help on the bike front, but may be helpful to you.
  4. Errrmmmm how about you sort out my peeling paint on my spoiler first :p It's making me feel uninspired!

      congratulations to you both :)

  6. You should always compliment cardio with strength training, even if its just body weight squats/lunges or tricep dips etc to start with. I train every day, with cardio 5 times a week, and strength twice a week. Granted I'm not a trainer or at all qualified, but having paid a PT for 7 years you learn a lot! Having said that, I've lost the most weight since changing eating habits!

We've been 3 times, and love it for a cheap, warm weathered holiday. Like a few have said above, stay in well populated areas and you'll be fine. Port El Kantaoui is really nice, and the people friendly. Waiters in the hotels are also pretty friendly, just try and steer clear of Ramadan season as they can get grumpy then. A few nights Mr Pasty had a dodgy tum, but i felt perfectly safe going for dinner in the hotel and a stroll on the beach alone. Tipping is fairly standard, as it is with many of these type of countries (Egypt/Morocco etc), but as it's still very cheap we didn't see it as an issue. All in all nice enough, in the right areas, getting the most for your money. Enjoy it!
  8. Glad to hear everyone is in one piece especially Mr Pasty! From Mrs Pasty!
  9. I work for Intel in their supply team (can't help with getting you anything but can advise on timelines of new processors). We have just launched (this year) our new 'Haswell' CPUs on i3, i5 and i7, our 4th gen and the first processors on 22nm. This is our new microarchitecture, will give you better vector performance etc, better integrated graphics and so on.... but may not be essential buy for you what you want it for. We have 8 series chipset boards available for this CPU too. THere are plenty of 3rd party board manufacturers though (MSI/Asus etc). We're also introducing this in a motherboard NUC (next unit of computing) which is a small 'Apple TV' type form factor. This comes with a CPU , motherboard, etc, and just needs memory and wifi to make it work. As the guys above have said the best way to do it is through Scan, they have online advisors that can help you figure out what you need. Not really a hepful comment more than to let you know our latest release! Good luck with your build!
  10. Not sure if you have seen the comedy film 'Couples Retreat' but that was based at The Four Seasons hotel in Bora Bora. If you decide to go we would love to get some feedback - which hotel are you looking at? Me and Mr Pasty are beginning to look at honeymoon destinations and its on my list to explore! Hope you have an amazing time whereever you go! Becky (Mrs PastyBoy)!
  11. Hey, I have a ladies one i can bring, i'm not heading out on track... leaving that to Mr Pasty.
  12. Don't you bl**dy dare paint our wheels gold! Want gold wheels - put them on the Ibiza! :p
  13. Sorry we're late but I just realised Pasty has not said it so I will.. CONGRATULATIONS!!! So happy for you guys. Hope Em is doing well and Ellis loves having a little bro around! Next time we're up your way we'll come say Hi! Take care, see you soon
  14. Don't forget the Briskodian we saw at the second cider farm too.... (Mrs Pasty)!
  15. I have some news on this! It seems our clever little Fabia has fixed itself! No light on from the top of Birdlip all the way home!
