  1. i can vouch for the imense improvement in having EBC yellow stuff pads all round. also finding the mtec drilled and grooved discs very good so far.
  2. Just had my spark plugs replaced during its routine major service interval. have kept the plugs to see what they looked like after 26300mi. Background: owned from new, ITG Maxogen & TMC box fitted at after 24months @ 9700mi, used on setting 7 there after. Only Tesco Momentum 99 ron used throught its life. Uses around 750ml of oil per 1000-1200mi. Photo shows condition of the plugs from cylinder 1 (far left) to 4. Having deno plugs fitted on monday along with some ebc yellowstuff pads and new discs
  3. do the Mk1 and Mk2 fabia vrs share the same brake discs and pads? cant tell if they are the same sizes and pads?
  4. using the generic ebay 55w HID in 5000k, great light output, no problems whatsoever with them for the 2 years they have been fitted. last set was a 35w without the inline ballast capacitor and it sometimes failed to ignite on the first go. the 55W slim ballasts with the capacitor ensures the bulb ignites every time.
  5. dealer activated auto locking door feature at request. no charge.
  6. is normal, the consensation drys off normaly during operation.
  7. I use a product called Enduroshield, works much like aquapel but is long lasting. my last application was 13 months ago and water still beads up very nicely on my sunroof and side windows http://www.enduroshield.com/
  8. i love you, have been looking for axel ratio data for ages! (dash command app is briliant!)
  9. after some time searching i found this very helpful post over in Fabia mk1 section http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262826-fabia-technical-data/ however i dont understand why they give 2 axel drive ratios on the spec sheet, which should i use? what seems very strange to me is that the 7sp dsg always lists gear 4 at a lower ratio than gear 5? and it seems to be on every dsg spec sheet i come across, even seat data sheets?
  10. i am also looking for this information as i have just got dashcommand working now
  11. i have a rechargable silica gel pack. basicly a 500g silica gel pack with moisture indicator packed into a plastic case with built in mains heater. when the pack is saturated. (can absorb about 100g of moisture) the indicator changes colour and you take it out of the car and plug it into the mains where the heater warms it to 60c and you leave it to dry out for a day before putting it back into the car. about £6.99 on ebay. search for 'rechargeable dehumidifier'
  12. Estate cars have lower drag coefficent compared to their hatch counterparts. this helps it reach higher top speed for the same output engine power.
  13. i have yet to pass another vrs estate while driving mine. coming up 3 yrs ownership now.
