  1. Text speak/ slang and phonetic spelling makes me apoplectic especially in official documentation or reports. Like others have said a moronic spelling mistake on Ebay will make me look elsewhere. Pronunciation also seems to be a dying art.
  2. There has been conflict from year dot and the fact we live normal lives amongst it reflects how attuned to the violence we are. My whole life I remember Islamic terrorism, Irish terrorism, fear of The Bomb, riots and more. I don't expect we are checking out any time soon as even the biggest lady thingy acknowledges that achieving aims at all costs doesn't tend to leave anything worth remaining in. The Chinese might build an army but it won't ever go anywhere. We will still be here in fifty years time and far beyond.
  3. can anyone actually pass a ball anymore?
  4. Da yoof in his Zetec Fiesta S who appeared to have brought a fart to a ship fight. Bye bye non-GTi

    Moving out

Bin jenga is a handy way of deciding who is putting the rubbish out. Might need to repaint the wall afterwards mind.
  6. There's probably an horrific wealth of information in that web search. I'll preserve what's left of my sanity and google the repulsive turd another day
  7. Having seen this on the Facebook wall of a friend who let's say posts a lot of spoof stuff, I continued passed the story a couple of day ago. However it appears that for whatever reason GW magazine has awarded the Philanthropist of the Year award to none other then Tony Blair. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2741328/What-Middle-East-crisis-Disbelief-Tony-Blair-handed-jaw-dropping-philanthropist-year-title-GQ-awards-ceremony.html As you can imagine for an article about Bliar in the Daily Heil, its not the most balanced of stories and undoubtedly the Tony Blair Foundation is involved in some good work. But for the instant, let us not lose sight of the fact that; Blair promoted a lie to take to an unlawful war His actions (with others) have caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands in the ME. As ME peace envoy he doesn't appear to have contributed to the strife and terror that is killing hundreds of thousands When in office passed law after law that eroded the liberties of the British people Auctioned off a signed copy of an autopsy report into the murder, sorry suicide of David Kelly Presiding over some of the worst corruption in government Presided over increased child poverty in the UK Paved the way for NHS privatisation Ensured victims of crime had less and less to celebrate in the justice delivered by the police and courts That is just off the top of my head. So one wonders, how does Tony Blair end up with such an award? His actions whilst in office and since suggest he is simply a self-agrandised money making machine. He has been involved in some of the worst deceit of any British politician and has actively worked against the lives of the innocent to suit his own aims. Iraq alone should have taken him to The Hague. If this award was issued to invoke irony then mission accomplished. If issued as a means of a publicity stunt to cause conjecture, then the staff involved with GQ are truly sick people.
  8. Don't venture out in the wet/ damp/ humid weather or if you must keep a jam jar handy to put what's left of the F*rd into

  10. You'll be lined up on the MINI dealer's forecourt?
  11. Perhaps, but you'd expect that living in Saudi and being married to a Saudi then the chap might have had an inkling? By no means excusing the outcome of events but rules is rules, and in the ME they're not backward about enforcing them. I personally prefer the Iranian Imperial Guard for that extra hint of Star Wars.
  12. It suddenly makes you realise that the police here aren't actually so bad, despite what the bleaters would have you believe.
  13. Scratch my earlier submission. I'm actively hunting Arsene Wenger with a pitch fork for the absolute fkuing travesty that has unfolded today. We'd have been better off signing Helen effing Keller as a striker. Welbeck? Holy mother funning cn utty bags
  14. The way the marques are being aligned I wouldn't be surprised if the only vRS Skoda will be the Octavia. SEAT will become the 'sport' option
  15. As cheap as that Panda is it'll never be Mk2 Polo cheap. They run forever, cost peanuts to run and are a blast to drive even in 45hp 1043cc guise. My (now sold on) 93 Polo was used to commute 60 miles per day and in the time we had it cost me only a new rad (£38). Still gave back 50mpg if driven steadily and having put a set of cheap coilovers i'd got lying around on the front, was a fantastic car to drive. Only sold it to a lad down the road and still see it kicking around. Its horses for courses I guess, but i'd always favour something older over something newer. I don't like the confined feeling you get in a modern car.
  16. Depends if you're listening to your head or your heart though There is nowt more satisfying than keeping a car older than your eldest child on the road
  17. When we bought our Toledo in June the salesman was bigging up SEAT's moves to becoming a perfomance arm of VAG. It was a conversation that led on from debating the Leon FR280. There is (allegedly) the 150 diesel and 160 tsi due.
  18. I had wanted a Rapid over a Toledo but by the time i'd got the spec I wanted on an Elegance trim level it was far too expensive for what it was (Amundsen/ stop-start etc) There may be some disparity as the Rapid I looked at was 2013 spec and the Toledo 2014, but the price/ equipment difference was staggering.
  19. Its great. Where else can we see Katy Perry murder a song on live television?
  20. I posed the question to SUK and they stated bluntly that a Rapid vRS isn't going to appear.
