  1. I know there's numerous threads on parking sensors been done as I've spent hours trawling through them but still couldn't get the answer I was looking for! I have a 2010 Octavia VRS with Factory fitted rear parking sensors integrated with the Columbus RNS-510. I am wanting front sensors fitted which can also be displayed on the Columbus. I am not brave enough to tackle this myself and want someone to do it for me!! OEM retrofits want £400 to do this which I thought was a bit steep. Not sure if my main dealer can do this or how much. Does anyone know of someone that carries this kind of work out? Preferably in the north of England or Scotland. I am willing to travel. Thanks in advance. Paul
  2. It will automatically remember the code. The only time it will ask for it is if you fit the stereo in another car.
  3. Don't think so John. I was talking about a Skoda MFSW. After seeing the price difference of what I can pick up a skis whel for. I've opted for that option! Just need to find somewhere near south west Scotland to fit it!!! Any takers??
  4. Did you have to buy the airbag as well or just use your old one? It seems to be well priced at skodatiele.cz.
  5. That actually looks really good rob_e. I like the red stitching. Dud you fit it yourself?
  6. Mines is just the basic wheel with no MF. It's a manual car as well. Did you change yours yourself or get it done somewhere?
  7. I've been tinkering with the idea of fitting a MFSW to my 2010 VRS. The only thing really putting me off is the steering wheel itself looks boring! (As far as steering wheels go). The Golf MFSW from a GTI / R32 looks so much better with the flat bottom and stainless inserts. Does anyone know if this is compatible and can be fitted?? Thanks.
  8. Tried that but no joy. I checked all the tyres today. They had all lost 1-2psi but that could've just been with the cold weather? Tyre pressure light still stays on ???????? The only thing I've noticed is both front tyres are down to 2mm. Could this effect it or is it more likely to be a sensor???
  9. I've tried a good few times and held it for up to a minute!
  10. Thanks for all the replies. I never knew about the reset button!.... However, I've pressed it and nothing happens so looks like it could be a sensor? It's in for a service with skoda next month so will get it checked then.
  11. Evening getns. I have a 2010 Octavia VRS with standard alloys and tyres - 225/40/18. Recently the tyre pressure light has came on so I popped the car round to the garage to check the pressures. All of them were different. I couldn't see in the car what they should be so I put them all to 32psi. However the light has stayed on? A few days later none of them appear to be losing any pressure but the light remains on. Any ideas?? Also does anyone know what the correct pressures should be?
  12. Incase anyone is needing the same. I popped into my local dealer. They had my VIN on record and then just needed the 14 digit code on the side of the stereo. Took 2 mins and they never charged me!
  13. I've recently fitted a Columbus RNS510. Does anyone know how I can get it to play DVD's while driving. Believe it or not its so my 3 year old can watch Peppa Pig. Anything for a quiet life!!
  14. Many thanks. I'll pop in to Skoda tomorrow.
  15. Now that I've finally successfully got my Columbus fitted I wish to sell the Bolero stereo. How do I get the security code for the Bolero???
  16. All sorted. He was selling two and had got the codes mixed round. I'm now one happy Columbus owner!!
  17. I recently paid £330 for mine, including delivery. Just needed to buy a GPS antenna for it which was £7 and new trim surround for £57. Bolero out and Columbus straight in. Probably the easiest stereo I've ever fitted.
