  1. From what I 'm reading here it will cost around 100 notes to d i y. ( oil, filter, bits ) lots of tricky things to do and still not certain if it's right. it must be better to put into a garage for around 160 notes and have no hassle. please correct me if i'm wrong I have to get mine done, over due 48000.
  2. t is important to ge the right bolts 10mm longer and look at the seat on the wheels to see if you require radius or tapered.
  3. These days it's not just Skoda. What ever make of car I'm working on I always seem to have to renew nut & bolts.
  4. How do you know what a bondage outfit sounds like ?
  5. How many miles between DSG oil & filter changes?
  6. 15000 on front tyre that were on the car when I bought it so that would suggest around 20000 from the new tyre, As for the factory fitted tyre having less tread I think thats rubbish.
  7. 15000 miles on front tyres that were on the car when I bought it. so that would suggest around 20000 from new. As for the comments about less tread on factory fitted tyres I think thats rubbish.
  8. Like I said , one big hole, adjusted the nozzles with a pin brilliant result.
  9. 2 holes in the cover which will be 1 in about 1/2 hr thanks to comment by Rainbowfire. 2 jets in the nozzle inside the cover which can be adjusted for direction as most others are.
  10. So many questions unanswered and now almost forgotten. That aircraft is somewhere and so are all the passengers and crew. in this age of technology where they can find something as small as a mobile phone surely they can find a plane.
  11. Crushed the radial nerve in my arm, my wrist dropped and could not lift my hand for 3 months then as if nothing had happened. So some light at the end of the tunnel. Hope she recovers soon.
  12. Adjusting them really is a nightmare!!! get them just how I want them, put the cover back on and the water hits the cover. Thinking of making the two holes into one big hole.
  13. Someone on this site had the same problem, they resolved the wheels fitting by cutting/ grinding the caliper, i understand that they didn't have to take a lot of metal off, I'm not endorsing it but seemed to work for them. I would run the old wheels until you can get h/c spacers and you might have to go for 12 or15mm if i remember correctly 10mm h/c are difficult to find.
  14. well done always worth complaining, I've had sky tv free for 2yrs because I cancel every year and they pester me till they offer free deal.
  15. I have read the thread, Heavy reading. What i would like to add is that there is considerable difference in adding spacers as to adding wider wheels, Adding spacers moves the wheel centre out and alters the geometry, fitting wider wheels should keep the geometry constant this is in my simple terms.
  16. It sounds like the thust bearing , gearbox out to replace the bearing. If the G/B is out I think you might as well change the clutch at the same time. I would only change the flywheel if it is scored or damaged in any way,
  17. Hi Blackspaven, wasn't doubting what you were told just reading what it says on the tin, If I come down with the plague or get galloping dog rot the you won't hear from me again.
  18. The front track is 1528mm the rear is1508mm, I put 20mm H/C spacers on the rear giving 1548mm. fulls the wheel arch nicely and I like the look. Thinking of putting thinner spacers on the front but have concerns on handling being as it might alter caster angles and steering. not that clued-up on that part.
  19. thanks for the info - shame it wasn't good news it would have been really good mod.
  20. jusy got my normfest Viro Air Fresh Plus and it states on the can that it is a disinfection as well as air freshner, it says `` it eliminates unpleasant odours as well as bacteria, fungi and germs.``
  21. Have read some mod,s on here regarding the above and think it 's really good. Bought springs of the right dimensions from local engineering suppliers but were not powerful enough to lift the hatch. Can anyone say how successful they have been and where to get the right springs from in this country.
