  9. Well things looking good..although another sleepless night. The agency who got me the Toyota interview said they are 90+% sure i have the job.....its just that the service manager needs to sign my wages/costs off to the MD who happened to be on a day off, gggrrrrr. As for the others one would be mine if i could wait till January????? The other was in a "Nationwide" bodyshop and although im a qualified techie "your cv shows no experience of strip/fitting"?? lol Role on tomorrow morning Keep you all posted, good luck to all that are looking for employment, its tough out there Phil
  10. Had two interviews this morning, now off for one at three...... First one was for Toyota and to be honest i would bite their hands off given the chance.. Here`s hoping, thanks for all your comments Phil

  13. Thanks for all your help so far guys..... As for going alone yes i`ve thought about it, freelance MOT tester???? As for the tyre thing, yes i can do it but being a bit snobbish here im a qualified techie and most of the time tyre fitters dont get a good press. Off to Aylesbury and then Thame today where i used to live/work....heres hoping Phil
  14. Well today im now well and truly down:rotz: been round all local main dealers and smaller even to the fast fits and still nothing. 16. Well guys its happened to me :( been on a weeks holiday this last week to look after my 2 boys anyhow my boss has been getting later and later paying me, from money going into the bank on a Monday then Tuesday and so on....Anyhow Thursday 29 i checked my account and still no wages so i rung him  He said he couldn`t afford to pay me and would not be able to pay my week off as well and that to be honest he could no longer afford to employ me so its best if i leave:mad: only been with this company 7 months so not really entitled to holiday pay although on starting job was verbally told i could take 2 days for every month worked. Anyhow, any of you people out there know if i have a leg to stand on ref holiday pay, i only have a scrap of paper with his writing on with job offer/wages etc.... If any of you know of anyone after a Qualified techie/MOT tester localish to Bicester (oxon/bucks/northants) please give me a shout:) 43 now and never been in this position:( Phil

Did mine yesterday and still itching...go careful with it Phil
  18. Trying to think hard....... they have tested your engine as a AGU should be AUQ, from memory no difference in values...like i said before check your exhaust for leaks
  19. Get them to measure the oil temperature as it says it was bypassed, this way you know the engine is hot...also if they can get them to measure the rpm or at worst watch them do it.Its such a small amount that they may not have prepared the car properly before testing it, that said it could always be down to a small leak in the exhaust. HTH Phil
  20. Look at some of my old (yawn) posts.... new tyres to rear.. you can rotate the tyres if you wish but would strongly advise only nearside front to nearside rear, same on offside meaning you keep the tyres direction of travel in one direction. Have seen lots of out of shape tyres due to the direction being turned after say 10k....also seen loads of tyres over the age of 6 years that are bordering on failing MOT due to the perishing/cracks nearly exposing the cords HTH Phil (ex Pirelli Platinum fitter)
  21. At the game and thought Sunderland deserved the win, that said you play to the whistle and speaking as an under 12`s manager Sunderlands time wasting warranted more than 4 mins... Wrong team selection by Fergie showing no respect for Bruces boys.. Wellbeck and Nani need a rocket up their???? Phil

Thanks m8, doing mine at the end of the month Phil
  23. Hi, could be a dodgy relay for the indicator problem...relay sits behind Hazard switch, replaced mine and cured mine Phil
  24. Just replace the boot.... you can now get a cone that pushes over the joint and you push a flexy boot over the top without having to take the joint itself off. Can be a bit tight and very messy Phil
