  1. car has just come back from the dealers after a service and feels slower than when it went it now it has a revo map on it.. is there an easy way to tell if it is still mapped.. also is it possible for the dealers to take the map off (it had 12 more miles on it than when it went in) or is it just me being a numpty and its still mapped and my head is playing tricks on me.. (i have been away so aint driven it for a while before it was serviced)
  2. yea i heard which is why there is no reg number orrrr specific info about me or my car on this site
  3. well my vrs went in for a service last week and i mentioned a notchy gear change so they looked at it and informed me it needs a new one. panic due to the REVO map on it and it being 18 months old.. was then told it was all under warranty and not to worry about it and bring it back next week. Happy as anything then i drove it out of dealers to find out my REVO map had dissapeared and it was running standard after the service.. is it customary to flash the ecu on a service so its going back in tomorrow then to the REVO dealer who said they would re-install the map for free on the upside i got a fabia vRS for a loaner and was so impressed with it gonna look at trading the g/f lupo tdi for one

  7. on previous cars i have had the ignition wired into the cigarette lighter (using the cigarette lighter as a push button start) no no matter how hard you turn the key it wont start unless you press the cigarette lighter great cos even if your keys are stolen they still cannot start the car.
  8. the fact that there is no alarm on one of the top of the range cars and there are no bonnet lifters on it even my girlfriend's lupo has them on and why is the cigarette lighter behind the handbrake so the sat nav cable is stretched over the gearstick
