  1. Those leathers look fantastic! I've got a spare set of VRS seats i'm looking to cover with something similar to that (also fitting the heated seat elements too!)
  2. Do you mean the car mats as a set? if so could you send some pictures over please. Mine are kinda..holy...literally.
  3. If I remember right I used a newer version than 507 check my other topics as I asked this question before and there's a newer standard you can use if you so wish.
  4. adjust the linkage first, then look into the gearbox shim kit - mine had similar problems and that fixed mine.
  5. I've got a set of these from my elegance, but i'm sure they're a different part when fitting to the VRS with the bumper change. Can anyone confirm? when i line them up they're nothing near how the rear bumper contours.
  6. Just install it anyway for all the hassle it is. Provided you have a decent set of circlip pliers you should be fine. the cap gets damaged during removal and make sure when refitting the new one you dont knock the centre of it in (as it bows in...someone did that on mine so i had to remove it and metalbash it near straight again). you literally remove the cover, remove the circlip, add the washer, refit the cirlip, refit the cap...done.
  7. I did think that, but i've checked it whilst driving - put my hand around to feel where its coming from and its definitely the handbrake against the plastic casing. I'm going to check the screws on it to make sure its all secure enough and possibly foam the plastic between the handbrake and on the base near the carpet to dampen things down.
  8. I'll check that, i've not noticed an exhaust rattle though to be fair. CHARMING...haha. It may be as i up'd the tension in the handbrake after fitting springs on the rear callipers - so that coupled with possiby the screws in the plastic working loose? not sure, i'll check the tension on them at some point to make sure its not that. I need some of those rubber gromits for the glovebox too, one's fell out and disappeared into the ether - so its rattle central at the minute -_- ! Only my MMA gloves seem to stop it as they fill most of the glovebox when rolled up!
  9. During the initial pull off of my VRS the leather handbrake always seems to vibrate against its plastic housing which is rather annoying - has anyone else had this and potentially fixed it? I'm considering checking all of the fixings to see if anything is slack in addition to putting some tough foam on either side of the plastic to give some padding to the handbrake.
  10. You've not done this yet? Keep up dude :p ! I fitted it to mine last year, its really just a matter of stripping the cable out of a lesser spec vehicle, getting the correct metalwork (or modding the one you have from the lesser model, requires one hole to be made a bit bigger), from there you run the wire through where Skoda nicely left all the trunking and clips for the extra cable, route it through to the boot release catch and you'll see a nice section where the cylindrical 'weight' on the cable fits into the boot, once done, set the tension on the cable and job's a good'en!
  11. Still around for the minute, taking the last few bits i wanted off it before it gets either sold or scrapped. Air vent slats not available, they were cracked and the ones that did work have been ported over to my vrs The number plate surround is available and yes i believe its black plastic i'll have a look at removing it this weekend.
  12. It makes loads of difference haha I can open the boot without getting out now - besides it saves wear on the electronic switch on the off chance its started to age
  13. Didnt have any pictures as my freedom membership expired so i wouldnt be able to upload any (members perk). Its really easy to do. Find yourself a two lever replacement for down by the drivers side (the bit where you open the fuel lid from inside the car) and respective cable. Remove the carpet and plastic trim moving back through the car, you'll see the cable from the fuel lid lever, trace that back towards the rear of the car. You'll notice where you're following the cable that its clipped into retainers at certain points, and that there should be a free space to clip another cable. Using the new cable you have with the lever (if its for the boot you need to drill the hole slightly larger in one of the lever retention clips (the cable is held into the steelwork by virtue of the little steel cylinder on the end of it)) It needs drilling out as on mine the other hole for the fuel cable was smaller than the boot one. Run the new cable across towards the back of the car following the fuel cable path, run it towards the boot and remove the boot plastics around the locking mechanism From here you'll see a small section for the cylinder on the cable to fit onto on the boot lock (mess around with the steelwork on the lock you'll understand which bit i mean, it connects onto the arm that unlocks the boot (not the orange section, the actual metalwork)) From there, connect it up, tighten up and enjoy
  14. Anybody got Mk1 Leon interior into a fabia as yet? They're leather seats with motors so they should be a nice upgrade.
  15. Update 05-Dec-2015 Fitted Team Heko Wind deflectors!
  16. Bit of a stop gap to reduce the vibration. You could fit a rubber cover over the pedal - it wouldnt look brilliant but it would help to dampen some of the vibration prior to hitting your foot. I've considered doing it in mine.
  17. One of the guys on here made a blanking plate for the air intake which allowed the car to warm quicker by using the warmed air In the engine bay.
  18. Yes. Most of the engine bay and anything like that hasnt been touched.
  19. Hi all, has anyone else come across a wheel squeak when your steering wheel is turned slightly? Above 40 mph the noise goes away but I think that's just because the road noise covers it up. It happens at a quarter turn of the steering wheel right, at any other point in the steering the noise disappears. I believe it's related to the brakes as it happened going downhill around a bend and when I touched the brakes I could change the pitch of the tone.
