  1. Yeah, they're still for sale.
  2. Haha, I know what you mean.. for instance, I can't stand the none estate version of the Mk2 Superb, the rear end's hideous as it looks like it's 'missing' something. I certainly much prefer my flat bottomed wheel to the old one.
  3. Final price drop to £100 ONO, then it's off to eBay.
  4. Price drop to £80 for the pair, then I'll be putting them on eBay.
  5. Yep, as I said above, the guy on here who I bought them from has basically spliced the original unit's plugs to the aftermarket HID ballast. This means that you only have to plug the car's normal plug into the back of the unit to make them work. They then use 'standard' ballasts and bulbs should they ever need to be replaced etc. The expensive part is the actual glass headlight units themselves, plus they're hard to get hold of these days too. They're the 'proper' Skoda projector units, so don't throw out horrible blinding glare at oncoming drivers as they're actually designed for HIDs.
  6. Nope, these are still available if you're interested.
  7. @Skoda_Driver1972 - My mate's given me a massive roll of bubble wrap, so postage is now an option if you're still interested?
  8. Thanks for that, but I'll hang on for a bit yet and see if anyone wants it at asking.. especially as postage is a pain. I'd need to buy a load of bubble wrap and cardboard, packing it all is a nightmare without it just ripping the packing to pieces, I've had similar issues shipping some awkward bike carriers before!
  9. As I put my old Octy back to standard before it went to the great scrapyard in the sky, I've got a set of Xenon headlamp units for sale. I bought these on here from @ExAudiSi a few years ago and they were a fantastic upgrade. In a nutshell, Si adapted the Skoda Projector Headlamp units to take an aftermarket HID kit, whilst retaining the original loom connector, which means that these just plug into your existing wiring loom. Now, as I didn't do the original wiring modification and they've not been used since I took them out of the car in November, I can't honestly guarantee their performance or offer any kind of warranty/aftersales help.. all I can say is that they were working absolutely fine when they came out of my car. So it's probably best to think of this as two genuine HID/Projector units (which are rare now anyway), which come with free ballasts and bulbs which may/may not work. £100 for the pair + P&P or free collection from Warrington.
  10. Here's a pretty rare genuine Skoda Octavia Mk1 towbar - Part number EEA 092 035 A It's a swan neck (removable) model, complete with keys etc. I bought it ages ago so I could fit some Thule bike carriers, but then sold the Octavia.. so as you can see, it's never been fitted.. the scuff marks are from the garage wall where's it's been sat for years! I imagine that postage would be a nightmare, so collection from Warrington is preferred, although I could meet up if it was a reasonable distance away. Genuinely no idea how much these go for, so say £80?
  11. After upgrading my steering wheel for one with DSG paddles, there's no need for me to keep hold of the old one. It came from a 2012 Superb II Elegance with 42k miles on and as you can see it's pretty much mint with no scuffs, marks on the leather etc. Comes with the airbag, so it's ready to fit. A perfect upgrade for a lower spec'd model or to replace a worn/tatty wheel.. takes ten minutes to swap over. Looking for £150 inc postage, or you're welcome to collect from Warrington.
  12. I assume you'd still have then pay an additional $99 to Ross-Tech to register it?
  13. Yeah, it's a Mk II Superb. I've not got the part numbers any more but all of the info you need is on this site, just do a search as that's all I did.
  14. As long as you've got a DSG gearbox obviously, then yes as that's exactly what I've done.
  15. I much prefer it as it looks and feels 'higher end'.. small things like the 'thumb rest' sections on the upper half make a big difference to comfort. Takes a little while to get used to not being able to thread the whole wheel through your hands when making big turns though. I bought it from the classifieds on here from a guy who bought it direct from the Skoda dealership he works at. To do the whole job you need the wheel, airbag and MF buttons as the originals won't fit the new wheel. Price will depends on where you get the parts, fitting took about an hour including VCDS coding in the wheel to get the DSG paddles etc working.
  16. Yep, it's an upgrade that I made earlier this year.. 1000% improvement in my opinion!
  17. It can be done, however you'll need to use VCDS to change the car's country to somewhere like Australia. It's intentionally not an option via the MFD on UK based cars.
  18. As Superbdreams says above, as long as your car has the requisite ABS module, then you can enable Hill Hold Control and XDS (electronic diff lock) with a couple of clicks in VCDS.
  19. All swapped out! Mods, can we move this to the sold section please.
  20. Spec = Specification.. as in if you've bought a higher specification with more 'optional' extras then you tend to get access to more things in VCDS.
