  1. Gotta be green then if you want more exclusivity as Race blue is another one of those "common" choices.
  2. Same here. I think you and I are the only ones here going for a Batmobile.
  3. Yep, they suck. Avoid like the plague. I've had horrendous dealings with them in the past.
  4. Nice to see Black with the black pack on it. A choice that's very Marmite but one I've gone with also for my vRS estate. Congrats and looking forward to seeing more photos.
  5. Yep, sunset glass too. I am partial to the stealth look - you should see my Golf R32! :-) The vRS will be my 3rd Black car in a row. Congrats Paul. It looks the shizz. You should be well proud.
  6. I've gone for Black, with Black Pack and the stock anthracite Gemini's. It arrives in a few weeks so I'll be posting photos shortly after. Cue ongoing response from The Wanderer that it'll look like a funeral car and needs something contrasty to offset the Black ;-)
  7. So good news. My order placed 2nd Sept for a vRS estate petrol with most options (including KESSY and ACC) which was delayed until week 6 has a confirmed build week of next week. Should get it before Christmas. Hurrah! That suggests to me one of the following: Lots of people cancelled pushing my order up the queue. Skoda have resolved the supply problem There was no problem in the first place. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hang up, call back, different person.
  9. I've spoken with SUK many times about order updates. Super helpful/
  10. So this is bizarre. My dealer called, my what was pushed to Week 6 order is now build week 47 (I'm not complaining). Perhaps the ACCD delays are sorted?
  11. Got my original build week (week 47) after 1 week. Ordered vRS estate 1st Sept. Build week now week 6 2014 because of ACC.
  12. Same problem here. My first Skoda. Order placed 1st week in Sept for a vRS estate, petrol manual. Was build week 47, now week 6 2014. I have ACC KESSY Canton Park Assist Columbus Sunset glass Black pack Currently being stung with the ACC problem and I'm also wondering whether I have done the right thing in ordering this car. As the OP said, for the £28k I've paid (or will pay), this is not a good experience and am too wondering whether I should cancel. Wait until March 2014 and take the risk of yet more delays or cancel. No idea what to do.
  13. My dealer has also confirmed the delay with ACC and is in the process of speaking to the Supply team at SUK to find out where we go from here. I am expecting to hear back sometime Monday on what the strategy is for existing orders.
  14. So realistically where do we stand as the customer? Can we cancel without loosing our deposit? Is it taking the 'piece' to ask for a bit of goodwill?
  15. See I don't get this. How come there is 3 days between our orders and mine is built 4 months after yours. Madness!
  16. Ordered a vRS estate petrol on Sept 2. Current scheduled build week is week 6 2014. That's 26 weeks from ordered to delivery. 26 WEEKS!
  17. Realistically where do we stand as the customer? Can we cancel without loosing our deposit? Is it taking the 'piece' to ask for a bit of goodwill? I do feel mis-lead. I was quoted 12 weeks at time of order and now its more like 26 weeks. Had I been told that at the time of order, I probably wouldn't have proceeded. #1stworldproblems
  18. No part-ex so thats all good. Yep, good idea for the 14 plate
  19. Just got off the phone with SUK, my what was week 47 build vRS estate is now delayed until week 6 2014 for delivery in March 2014. I ordered it 2nd Sept so that makes it a 6 month lead time Cause of delay = Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) I don't want to change my order but 6 months!! SUK advised to discuss the situation with my dealer for further info. Just emailed my dealer a WTF message so waiting to hear back what they have to say. I'm not sure what to make of this. I know it'll be worth the wait and I can wait but I feel like a bit of mug at the moment so wondering if I should do something on principle. 6 months!
  20. I don't feel I should be....but the guys at work just scoffed that I choose to spend £28,000 on a new vRS loaded with options over something more 'upmarket'. I feel I've bought an amazing car - certainly the most high tech I've ever owned. Terms like 'value for money' or 'more car for your cash' just don't seem to cut it for bragging rights. Ignorant people just hear Skoda and write it off as a boring budget car. I believe a new vRS *is* something brag about but clearly I'm having difficulty articulating that. Sticks and stones and all that but you know what guys are like. Is it just me or is there still a stigma with Skodas?
  21. Dealer is charging me £249 for upholstery and exterior protection + plus a case (read about 15 bottles) of various Autoglym products. 10 year guarantee on the interior upholstery protection where (apparently) Autoglym will replace whatever their products failed to protect. I bought it for the upholstery part after a demo. http://www.lifeshine.com
  22. Hi all I decided to go for the Autoglym lifetime treatment, mainly for the upholstery part as it sounds like a no brainer to me on my new vRS with my young family. The demo the Salesman gave was quite convincing. A mate of mine said the paintwork protection wasn't worth it but was undecided about the upholstery treatment.....and this has got me second guessing my 'no brainer' decision. Has anyone has his done? Is it worth it?
  23. So back to the original question, is the Delivery charge optional or required? I have the "Delivery Charge" on my order form for my vRS at £321. I have the Simply Clever pack included so that takes care of the boot mat and if feet mats are included too then it sounds like all I'm getting for my money is mud flaps. Anyone know?
