Skoda Insurance didn't care when I pointed out my factory fitted options. That coupled with the fact they were £100 cheaper than all the usual places meant I went with them.

Just out of interest, is it the sound you hate or the fact that it's faux engine noise?

After 1 weeks ownership, I have a few minor issues: *When the car is in Sport mode (when the sound actuator is at its most active), I get a vibration/buzz coming from the console in the roof where the ultra sonics are. *The driver and passengers window auto up/down doesn't work (but the rear windows do) Other than that, I love the car. Best I've ever owned.

I appreciate the O3 has only been out a few months but I was hoping to start a thread to capture undocumented features or secrets. Anyone found any? This one has potential but still waiting confirmation. LOL, here's an excerpt from the manual around Park Assist. Is it me or is this just really bad English: "The search for a suitable parking space takes place while the display is switched off. If the display is not switched on using the symbol button ? until the driver drives past the parking space, the system can assess and display this parking space."

So when jet washing the body, keeping about 1 meter away seems to be the way to go. When it comes to rims (anthracite Gemini's on my O3 vRS), is it safe to get in there close to get the muck off or is that a no no too?

A bit controversial perhaps but I'm about to wash my new vRS for the first time this weekend. I'm not big on detailing but I want to do a good job, not wreck the paintwork and not spend >2hrs doing it. My methodology: Hose down Shampoo with good sponge Jet wash body Soap up the Geminis Jet wash Geminis Dry with drying cloth / good chamois Hoover seats and floors Wipe down cabin with damp microfiber cloth (water only) My main concern is the jet wash. Used responsibly (ie 1 meter away) I've never had a problem. Thoughts?

So press the ParkAssist button twice and then drive past the bay you'd like to park in? Is that correct?

Yeah, same here. Slams very easily when closing via the rubber pull.

Hi all, Just beginning to get my head around all the tech in my new vRS and just started looking at Park Assist. Arguably the 'scariest' feature to try out when learning the dimensions of a new car. Parallel parking I get - press the PA button, drive past the space slowly, car tells you if it can park itself there and you follow the instructions on the Maxi DOT to reverse in. For Bay parking, the manual suggests its the same as parallel parking. Is that it? Press the PA button, drive slowly past the bay space waiting for the car to acknowledge it can park there, then reverse in? I assume I would have to use the indicator if the space is on the driver side. I can see a few gotchas with this. The car will use the other cars to align itself so if they are parked badly, you will too. Cars parked on the curb pose a risk to curbing your rims for the same reason.

Hi everyone, After a 12 week wait, my vRS TSi estate is finally here. There doesn't appear to be an abundance of Black vRS' with the Black Pack on here so I thought I'd share mine.....if only to help prospective buyers decide whether they like it or not (I love it!). To those waiting for your new cars to arrive, it is definitely worth the wait. For me, this car is awesome. I've come from a Black Mk4 Golf v6 4motion and this improves on it in every way. I love the stealthy look. Spec is: TSi Manual with Red stitching Black Pack Adaptive Cruise Canton Sunset Glass Heated washer nossels Bluetooth+ Columbus Nav KESSY Park Assist Only been out for 100 miles in it so far. Cabin is quiet, ride is firm but not unattractive and the Front Assist has already saved my bacon when someone decided to slam on the anchors in front of me on the M40. ACC works really well (if a little confusing at first) and the Canton is well worth the money. I had £2000 worth of Genesis ICE in my Golf with a 12" Sub and whilst it doesn't compare to that, it is a worthy step up from the stock audio. I've got the Canton Sub cranked up to hear it but I suspect that once's its run in its performance will improve. Dealer pre & post sales customer service and communication was A1 all the way. Constant comms and fast responses to email. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend if you live in the West London area. Anyway, here are some photos:

My week 47 build vRS was at the dealer in just 9 calendar days. Wasn't expecting it that quick but a welcome surprise. Ordered 2nd Sept.

I think what we're looking for is someone to confirm what Spiceman was told above....which is being able to use Mitsumi without having specified it as an option. ...ie has someone looked under the multimedia unit and confirm a socket for a Mitsumi cable?

Same here. Week 47 confirmed build (ordered 2nd Sept) for my VRS estate with all the problematic options (ACC, Front Assist, KESSY). Quoted w/c Dec 16th for pickup. Fingers crossed.
