  1. Well, you need to get write access to the internal filesystem of unit. Once you get it, you can alter desired graphics. Search for "mib std pq emmc" on Google. It's not that easy, but doable.
  2. With some effort, other car pictures are also possible. One can put there FSO Polonez Leisure as well
  3. Does anybody know if there was so called "Performance monitor" ever running on these units (or similar units made for PQ platform based cars like Caddy, Scirocco and so on) ? I heard it can be enabled but i'm not sure if the car can provide data from the can interface.
  4. My 2008 pre-fl (BLS engine) have the DPF light and even a proper message is displayed on the maxi-dot.
  5. I don't kow how it is fixed on RHD, but in my LHD (BLS engine) the cover is screwed with a nut to abs unit mount base.
  6. Thanks again for valuable info, now my swap is also done! Old unit was 1K0907379AF. Now i have 1K0 907 379 AJ flashed to BJ. I confirm, that brake line diameters are the same for both units, so i had no need for changing any brake lines. As you said, crimps are very different for 26 and 47pin housings. I've decided to resolder used crimps obtained from 7L0973047 complete connector. It's very subtle job, soldering so many wires under the hood. My back is hurting me till now Complete task took me about 15 hours. Old plastic heat cover fit nicely over the new unit. The biggest problem was with extracting and reattaching pump base. This base was also holder for A/C compressor pipes. Detaching it from A/C wires was very tricky. But, that kind of troubles are only with LHD...
  7. langers2k, you guessed it right, mine is LHD. I have BLS engine and ABS pump is just right next to the DPF, so heat insulation is necessary i guess. Do you know if pins for 26p and 47p housings are the same? If so, it would be nice to extract them and just put to new housing. Thanks.
  8. langers2k, very nice to hear that you sorted it. I'm planning to swap mine too. My present module is 1K0 907 379 AF and it seems that it has same holes for brake lines as MK60EC1 has (luckily). What about plastic cover near the pump? Seems that one for MK70 is smaller. Have you changed it?
  9. If someone did the retrofit already or have SmartGate already in the car, would you do something for me please? I'm planning to make SmartGate available for Octavia 2 (or any PQ35-based car as well). I need some logs of WiFi communication. Skoda made a promise to release SmartGate api for public, but don't know when it will be. To capture wlan packets it's necessary to install tPacketCapture app on your android based phone. No need to root the phone. I'm going to use Raspberry PI with CANBUS board to simulate SmartGate. I need PCAP file containing traffic between phone and the car. Thanks in advance.
  10. Sorry for reviving this topic, but i want to say big THANK YOU to all who supported me by answering my strange questions Finally (some time ago) i managed to emulate OPS by my Atmel MCU device. Obviously it would be much easier to just swap PDC ECU to newer type, but... the joy of experimentation is most precious thing!
  11. Hi sneon! Nice to see that there are some more people who wants to mess up with canbus:) First of all try to make CAN sniffer: http://www.fischl.de/usbtin/ Second thing - MFD in my pre FL car is operated by right stalk, not by MFSW. In my case at least two CAN Id's carries info about MFD stalk buttons: ID 0x2C1 first nibble of byte 2: (every 100ms) 0x8=released 0x9=down 0xA=up 0xC=enter. ID 0x5C1 byte 0: (it appears only when button is pressed and released) 0x22 = up 0x23 = down 0x28 = enter Now about OPS thing. I'm not done this emulation yet. It's not that simple as i thought. I'm waiting for some logs from my friend. There is some kind of hadshake between headunit and ops unit at id's 0x67A and 0x6DA right after the bus goes up. Sorry, i have no info about climatronic thing so far :( It's all about the logs. If we have enough we could do anything hell666 - i'm afraid to ask, but maybe you can make one more log? As i wrote above it's kind of handshake on 67a and 6da. The trick is to sniff the bus when it is waking up - for example when you unlock the doors with remote. Cheers!
  12. Sorry for writing post under my own post, but i don't know how to edit the old one. Can i ask someone with VCDS and working OPS on Columbus to do following tests? Test 1: -Select 37 Navigation -Select "Coding" -Select "Long Coding Helper" -Tick "Parking Aid/Park SteerAssist Monitoring inactive" on byte 0. -Press escape and save new coding -Exit VCDS and reboot Columbus by pressing < > and star/mic button simultaneously. And then after reboot check if OPS is still working. After that untick this bit and save the coding again. Test 2: -Select 19 CAN Gateway -Select "Installation list" -Untick "10 - Park/Steer Assist" -Press "Save coding" -Exit VCDS and reboot Columbus by pressing < > and star/mic button simultaneously. And then after reboot check if OPS is still working. This will let me save a lot of time with my PDC to OPS experiment. Thanks.
  13. Unfortunatelly not. It seems that most interesting things are protected better :(
  14. Hello, here is part of decompiled java app from Columbus HU. It might be helpful, but the most interesting part, communication layer is absent :( http://www.speedyshare.com/wphtm/3.src.zip
