  1. I think so .... amazing in the dry but if it doesn’t equal a warm sunny dry day then no. I am in the North and it always wet, cold and damp. So need tyres to suit.
  2. I think I might go for the PS4s next time. Give them a run.
  3. Swapped my 220 VRS for a 245 today. Really pleased so far apart for feeling like I was Bambi on ice driving home. Checked tyre pressures when I got home and 49PSI in every tyre. Corrected and the car seems much better now but still can't wait to get the Pirelli's off the Eagle F1's back on.
  4. Completed the test drive today and really impressed with the DSG box. It felt quicker and smoother than the DSG6. The deal offered was too good to turn down so went for it and will be picking it up on Thursday. £30 cheaper than my current 220 deal.
  5. Anybody got any opions of the 6 and 7 speed DSG? Driven the 6 speed but coming from the Fabia VRS didn’t think it was as good, to slow. So went for a manual 220 VRS. Taking a 245 dsg out for a test drive tomorrow. But is the DQ380 suppose to be better than the DQ250? Just after thoughts...
  6. They will ask for a settlement figure and then settle it with the finance company for you. They do all the work. If there is any equity in the vehicle then they will give it you back as cash or add it to the deposit on your new vehicle.
  7. Yes, you can and you are not limited to the VW franchise. I've looked at BMW and Hyundai which all offered a trade in value for the Octavia.
  8. After speaking to the number of tuners I've decided to upgrade the clutch first. Gone for the Sachs performance clutch 550+nm. Fitted £800 for the idea of cost. The other option is to go with a low torque map and see how the clutch performs.
  9. Is it only the 245 that comes with the new 7 speed dsg or do all VRS's get the same box?
  10. £129 Lookers Eccles.. and got them to change it to a fixed service instead of a variable.
  11. Yes, they are a waste of money. Spent about £40 on products and nothing worked. Got a smart repair done for £60. They were only small on the door handle..
  12. I have used the below for a number of years and had brilliant service from both. Mainly Awesome for my Octavia who have done my Eibachs, Filter replacement and Milltek installs. Awesome - who offer APR Stadt Technik - who offer Revo
  13. I have Eibachs fitted. No issues and really improves the car. Even had 2 adults, 2 children and boot full of camping gear around the North Wales roads and fields. Handled it brilliantly.
  14. They have updated the Carista application now for the Octavia. I had it for the Fabia and just tried it out. Works. 15. This is my Milltek Catback. This was when I first got it but the sound has settled down now. I turned off the sounddaktor as well.
  16. 6k miles and used half a litre of oil in mine.
  17. I have noticed this more since I upgraded my phone to iOS 10.0.2. One day no problems then the next day "iPhone disconnected and iPhone failed" messages. Becoming a real pain. The the last few days I have been using my wife's phone which is still on iOS 9 and not had a single issue. So could be an iOS 10 bug. They did upgrade CarPlay in that release.
  18. Couldn't find many youtube videos of the Milltek Non-Resonated fitted to the Octavia so did a sample one. It's taken about 500 miles to settle down as it was pretty loud at first but its sounds just right now. I don't think speakers do it justice but at least it's something. [flash=]
  19. Makes me want another..... Interesting about the supercharger mod. [flash=]
