D.FYLAKTOS replied to sparticus-84's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanDid you remember to apply an extra thin coat of electric contact grease? Another example: Klüberlectric KR 44-102 is a special grease for the lubrication of electrical switches, contacts and sensors. It consists of a synthetic hydrocarbon oil and lithium soap incorporating a UV indicator for quality inspection. A special additive combination makes Klüberlectric KR 44-102 particularly suitable for the lubrication of electrical contacts. It is intended especially for the protection and lubrication of copper, tin and silver surfaces against corrosion. Further positive effects are: reduction of plug-in and switching forces, reduction of fretted oxide development, extended connecting and switching cycles, constantly low contact resistance and smoother switching transitions.

Felicia Gearbox oil level?
You must be very careful https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/322412-gearbox-oil/ If it broke it you have a serious problem. Spray some WD-40 or a Degrease cleaner spray around, let it soak and slack a bit, if didn't comes out then leave it. Go to a repair shop, the mechanic may have another idea but if don't then just flush the old gear oil and put 2.4 of new one, i did it the last time without removing the stick. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/524227-skoda-felicia-gearbox-leak/?do=findComment&comment=5858952 Works perfect !

With previous status there were many restrictions. Only for shows, events, marriage, ceremonies and from home to repair shop and back. I still wonder how a 80-70 years old car will pass the MOT here, the engineers will check it based in which standards?- My Felicia has a broken windshield wiper

In England a Classic car of 30's or 50's how passes the MOT? Or they are not allowed to be in the road for every day driving as a modern car?- I'm BACK
In Greece, how can a 1930 or 1950 can be inspected with the today's standards? A 1994 V8 Vantage Volante?- I'm BACK
King's Charles 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Mk II https://www.foodandwine.com/king-charles-aston-martin-runs-on-cheese-and-wine-7496349 As for the Classic cars with the new status there would be a problem with the MOT. Cars like the @Thefeliciahacker can pass easily but a 60's or 50's (there are some from 1922-1929 era) car based in which standards will be checked? Emmisions, brakes, suspensions etc are out to date, there is no database so how can an engineer can give the "OK" and let it pass?- Felicia Gearbox oil level?

90% of Aston Martins ever built are still in good condition. Aston Martin celebrated its 110th anniversary last year. While the British company has faced various difficulties in the past, its unbroken run is a testament to a thriving brand with a real influence on motoring developments. And as if that wasn't enough, the British announced an incredible number: That 90% of Aston Martins ever built are still on the road. The startling statistic was shared by head of product and market strategy, Alex Long, with reporters at an event in New York. Aston Martin has built around 110,000 cars since it was founded in 1913. "A lot of countries live share the VIN of the models they maintain, so we can get a picture of what's out there and what's not," said Long. “Meanwhile, the vast majority of buyers want to protect the value of their cars and choose to maintain them at their main dealers. So we're seeing VINs so old in the system, we thought we'd never see them again." https://www.drive.gr/news/ki-omos-90-ton-aston-martin-kykloforoyn-akoma-ekei-exo (Google translated)- I'm BACK

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanProbably yes. Due to heat the motor winding varnish was spilled all around and the grease from the side which were the gears was not on them but in the side walls. I don't know these how long would last. As for comford: even the Jaguar F-Type R here in Greece has not rear windscreen wiper.- OBD reader
D.FYLAKTOS replied to mikefelicia's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman3 different repair shops (and their 3 scanners) plus 1 mine (OBD 11) could't find that one of the major causes for my high fuel consumption was the wrong type of lambda sensor that a VW Group parts store sold me. VCDS and laptop on board are for young people with modern cars, hi-tech knowledge and time to spend on these gadgets. In GR in cases like this we say "keep your money, better spend them in "pitta gyro" .- OBD reader

You don't have errors every week, your car isn't modified, no engine-dashboard swap etc so keep the money and spend them in gasoline for journeys in the country.- Three G11 coolant mixtures, boiling-cooling time comparison.
