I just had the exact same problem today on my passenger rear door. Heard sloshing, when I pulled the bottom seal slightly away from the door, several liters of water came out. I have the car for 7 years now and this has never happened, so I am puzzled. I am going to clean this first, then see if the problem persist.

Are drainage holes o the other side of the seal as well? Otherwise I dont see the point of the holes in the seals. I dont expect water to be coming from the seal, but from the door.

I got the same problem now. Check Right Front Side Light (this error appeared 2 times in last month) 1. But looking from the outside I cannot see what light should be missing / not working. Can anybody point exactly which light should I be looking at? 2. When I buy new light, should I change both side bulbs? I have odb11, will I be able to code what is necessary?

I hope battery change will resolve my problems because the starter is really expensive compared to battery, not to mention battery I can change myself.

Well I have used it normally, not a taxi driver for sure I dont see many threads regarding failing started on this forum? I guess I will change the battery and see it goes from there.

Yes, maybe also it could be a weak battery since it 8 years old now. I will see what my dealer has to say.. What is the started fails completely, you cannot start the car?

Obviously I will take this to my dealer, but I am wondering the following Is this part meant to be serviced to improve its longevity or do you just replace it when it fails completely?

Is there a way to confirm this with odb11? Is this a expensive repair?

I figured out when this happens frequently. When I come back from long highway drive (several hours) I stop at the car wash and turn off the car. After 10 minutes, when I try to turn back this happens. Since the car has been now driving for several hours, the battery should be full I guess. I will make the video next time so I have it for service.

On my last service few months ago they checked the battery and it was ok. Not sure how deep check they do actually. And this problem is happening much longer. But the battery is 7 years old though, 100.000km

Any more info what I should be looking at? I am able to open the bonnet

I have some issues with starting sometimes. Similar to the thread below, I also have such issues, long cracking sometimes. But there is another problem. Sometimes when I try to start its like it cranks only once and then it turns off. And this can repeat several times in a row. Battery is ok, according to the last service. I also ride long trips so battery should not be an issue. I dont have any errors when I scanned with Obdeleven. Its really annoying when it happens. I dont really have a video of this problm (although it could be easily filmed) because I dont know when this will happen.

I find that if I keep 1.5 liter water bottle in my doors, that tends to buzz occasionally, reminding me I need to buy an Audi next time.

I would say steering wheel and a shifter are real leather but I base this pure on feel :P

I am about to do a service at 90000km and the fuel filter part was listed as 5Q0127177. I am looking for info about filter dimensions. Google seems to offer several filters with this part number for VAG but they all differ in dimensions.

DSG can break like a manual gearbox can. The only difference is the repair will be more costly than the manual. Be prepared to pay if the worst happens. But if you decide to buy, forget about and enjoy the ride!

I had the same problem. First time dealer glued it back, then it happened again. Second time they replaced the glass (with the worst glass!) and still needed to shorten the rubber so it doesnt rub the roof line when the trunk is opened. I suggest regluing and shortening the rubber.

Or you could just buy a Passat next time. You can pump the front of the driver seat in Passat using this handle as much has you like, just like in some Audi models.

If you like to push it then I would go for 1.8 otherwise obviously you just waste fuel in daily drive.
