Quick bump for this - anyone got any ideas, before I go out of my mind, it's so annoying lol

I listen to stuff like Tunein radio and podcasts etc all the time in the car. What happens a lot of the time is when I'm done listening to say Tunein and want to listen to a podcast the podcast will start but then after a few seconds the Tunein stream will start again, grabbing the audio - it can happen in reverse also, the podcast grabs the audio. What is really weird is this will still happen even though I pause the Tunein audio then close down the app (by swiping up on the phone) entirely. Can anyone say why that's happening?

Does the Octy 3 have rigid plastic rear pillar trims? It does seem to but they're too far forward. More I think about it the more I think the solution would be 5 x plastic C clips as above - if I could just fix them individually to the interior just in front of the tailgate then that should be fine, but how to fix them?

That's an idea but won't the whole thing sag down? I'd need 5 clips maybe 10cm apart.

The suction cups on the windows could be an idea - could someone suggest reliable ones? The force on the webbing is a factor as they're pulled quite tight. Although the rods are very light they'll all have reels attached as well so adding a good bit to the weight there. I'm also trying to keep them as high up in the car as I can, both for comfort of rear seat passengers and also to hopefully deter theft, ie out of sight

It's actually for fishing rod storage, I have a webbing rack that stretches across the existing grab handles but it needs to be further towards the rear by about 12-18", exact placement not too important. Wouldn't have to be a handle as such, even a stout metal ring would do fine. Another idea could be to use a mesh dog guard or similar but would be overkill for my needs. Even just a small narrow shelf in front of the tailgate hinges would do but I'm not sure how it could be fixed.

Long story but I've got a need to fit 2 x extra grab handles on my estate, they will need to sit just in front of the tailgate. I'm thinking because of the fabric material on the inside of the roof a suction job wouldn't work. Anyone got any ideas?

ok thanks didn't know that. Does anyone know if I should be updating MIB1 unit from 0435 to 0490? Is there a risk of bricking it?

Thanks for the help so far pab, I need to update from:- 0435 to the latest version, would that mean taking mine from MIB1 to MIB2?

Mine is MIB1, is there any way back if you do brick it or is it new unit?

Has anyone updated the sw on a MIB1 Bolero? I'm just a little nervous and wondering what's the chance of bricking it, if so why does this happen and is there any recovery or rollback procedure?

MIB2 is diferent rev of hW? If so from what year? My car is 2014

I'm keen to update but now got second thoughts after your warning that the unit could be "bricked"! Any idea why this happens, if battery is fully charged should it happen? Also if it does happen is only fix to replace it?

The issues I have are:- First few seconds of MP3s on flash card are silent (same card works fine in different car, different sw version) Bluetooth disconnects from time to time Radio Apps on my phone will continue to play on the car stereo even after the app has been closed (not sure if issue with phone or the car) Just hoping an update could help these issues?

Ha ha ok I do have the fw dl on flash card but it wouldn't run, I'll try the long press. Skoda? Neither the dealers nor head office have a clue re this stuff as far as I can see. Why doesn't it appear on the portal?

Does anyone know the latest version for Bolero? I'm on 0435 and when I type my VIN into the portal it says no update available. I bought the car new and ordered the enhanced Canton audio system ,would this screw up their wonderful portal, ie does it think I've got basic audio and therefore no update available? As ever I've been round the dealer-Skoda-dealer loop several times and they don't have a clue re this stuff.

Thanks, but I can't see any PDFs at all in my version. Also I've got 28 folders plus the metainfo2.txt file. Does anyone know if the Amundsen version will work in a standard Bolero?

I got the car new and ordered the special cable for the iPod, so don't have the USB - guess I could get a 30 pin - USB converter if needed but would like to get the SD working. I just can;t see that help file, would you have the file name?

I don't have a USB port, I believe it should work via the SD card?

Have tried:- Parent folder with contents Contents only Zip file only Each time same result, no available media to perform update. Anyone know how it's done? SD card is formatted FAT32, I presume that's correct?
