  1. Yes correct, my bad, what i meant was that that front intake duct is unblocked using the ECS tuning intake duct. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-parts/mqb-gen3-rotomolded-abs-dual-air-inlet-duct/046835la01kt/ Not the actual bit underneath you refer to.
  2. Those are some nice figures too. Sorry I'm bit confused...are you stage 1+ or stage 2 yet? I'm thinking to go stage 3 maybe next year but i know it will not stay there...my dream build would be either fully forged engine or engine swap from RS3 😎 but that's lot of money. Maybe Powermax or Littco turbo upgrade with uprated LPFP and HPFP but time will tell. Dongle that Kalam sells fo £66 and Simos tool app will tell you horse power and torque during pulls which eliminates the need of a dyno runs. Kalam has explained to me that dyno figures can be misleading and not always accurate due to few factors....car being strapped too much or not enough, not calibrated dyno etc I have just noticed that yours is L&K which makes it even more or a sleeper 😁 Not sure if your engine has different torque limits than mine. Is yours DQ381? Mine says 600nm for stock internals but has been pushed to more. Not sure if you seen RE Performance Skoda Superb sleeper they done to 477hp with stock internals. Regarding induction kit i decided to keep standard airbox in but used Ramair panel filter. ECS tuning intake duct took care of that dreaded blocked intake and was only under £200 from Awesome GTI and still looks fairly OEM. I like what you've done to your car, very Q status i have to say, bet it surprises few unsuspecting wannabe racers 😁
  3. Thank you, it does sound better in person 😎 What is your current set up? Sometimes it's all about the feel and smiles per gallon 😁 numbers are irrelevant but it's nice to know πŸ’ͺ🏻☺️
  4. Thank you sir 😊 It is now fully functional beast at lastπŸ€“
  5. Hello mate, downpipe is BCS Powervalve with 200cell high flow cat Cat back system is custom made by German company called Friedrich Motorsport back in 2021 and it's fully valved just like the standard OEM system. Pops are activated by driving mode
  6. Cheers bro πŸ™πŸ» yes definitely knows his stuff and very very informative he will tell you what he did and what and how he wants you to do next thing. Real credit to car scene. Also got my pops and burbles detuned slightly so they are bit more civilised 😁 VID-20260715-WA0007.mp4
  7. Just a small update, ran a last revision by Kalam @ Russell Road and Racing on the weekend and final numbers are 410hp and 554nm. Car is running sweet and no hiccups. He is happy with the results and so am i 😎πŸ’ͺ🏻
  8. Yeah i was only there for two weeks and found that company that tune cars so I've asked him to order downpipe and tune it but when the part arrived it was straight and wouldn't fit my car. Probably like you say, steering rack or something in the way...
  9. I was going to have first downpipe fitted last year in Austria and the bloke couldn't fit it cos he said that they are different for LHD cars. He showed me it and the one he got was straight not bend at the turbo end if that makes sense....
  10. Great news mate πŸ’ͺ🏻 you will love it. The whole process is more enjoyable as you get to flash your car and log your drives yourself. It took Kalam 6-7 revisions to get it where he wanted it. What is wrong with yours?
  11. Not sure but generally book time for fitting downpipe, standard or aftermarket is 3-4 hours . Trackslag is getting some good reputation, as long as it works for you nobody cares about name. Yes do as much as you can afford while at it. I know it's big chunk of money in one go but definitely worth it
  12. It does open a massive can of worms but it's better to do it all rather then coming back to it multiple times. As they say, pay once cry once 😁 my mechanic has managed to fit my BCS Powervalve downpipe without dropping the sub frame
  13. Sounds like the typical issue that plagues Superbs. Mine was doing exactly what you described. I have replaced pretty much whole suspension 2 years ago - shocks, bottom arms with polybushes, drop links, strut mounts and has been ok since. When i worked at Skoda there was a technical bulletin about it and Skoda gave solution which was basically to grease everything but eventually the issue would return.
  14. Yes yes we get 99ron or 95ron in Jersey. I always used 99 since i had the car, mapped or stock. If i go away to Germany or Austria i always use Shell V-powerπŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’₯ not cheap but hey...smiles per gallon+ it's better for the car
  15. It is mate and two completely different cars by way they drive and behave. I wont mention any specific names, there is only one garage that does this sort of work where i live. Bloody amateurs He is a top bloke and knows his stuff. His approach is one in a million. Highly recommended
  16. Thank you John, Yes at last. I'll speak to you soon in DM. Hope you having/had great time away.
  17. Thank you, and yes absolutely. I'm glad I'm not the type of person to just believe blindly but question everything. I almost started to think that it wasn't meant to be....i have ordered my stage 2 parts in January this year and that same company went into administration....you couldn't make that up.
  18. Little update since i posted about my Superb 280 going stage 2 back in may. I have questioned the high torque figure ( 618nm) with the tuner and was assured that it's a safe map, ok i left it at that. Three days after remap, car starts burning oil without even being pushed hard. So i switched to thicker 5w40 Castrol Edge ( issue rectified) Week later i pinned it from traffic lights and car cut power after 5000rpm. Gear changes felt really rough and jerky. Questioned it with the tuner, got nowhere.... Then i found on here someone who had similar issues after going to stage 2 and they recommended speaking to Kalam at Russell Road & Racing. From start he was very helpful and informative. I decided to buy one of his dongles and run few logs for him. I was really unhappy when he run me through all the issues he found after my not so professional stage 2 remap.... 1- huge overboost in midrange that went beyond sensor capacity so we couldn't tell how much it was actually putting out 2- car running lean at certain scenarios 3- all the injectors were maxxed out to the point where one started dosing less than others 4- in other scenarios it was over fueling 5- LPFP wasn't configured properly and not providing adequate amount of fuel 6- during overboost it would loose traction in 3rd gear So yeah it hasn't been greatest of experiences and i would certainly advise anyone to do a proper research and before they give their pride and joy to some amateur who doesn't know what they doing. Luckily nothing serious happened to my superb while having the original map. Kalam has provided me fresh ECU and TCU files then with few more updated calibration maps the car is running sweet as anything, power delivery is smooth and linear, no rough upshifts or downshifts, no overheating. Best Β£431 spent so far πŸ’ͺ🏻 Old power output 390bhp and 618nm New figures after few tweaks some major some minor 405hp 550nm Also added some pops and burbles switchable by driving mode ( this is a first version of pops, they have now been brought down a bit to more OEM sound )VID_20260703_180850~4.mp4
  19. Budget tyres and soft suspension on Superb isn't a great combo. I have 2018 superb 280 and until i upgraded the suspension it used to be very floaty...had a hairy moment on Autobahn few years back at around 120mph going over slightl bump and strong side wind....and that was with Conti Sport 7 tyres. Upgraded front and rear anti roll bars and fitted Bilstein B6 Performance shock absorbers two years ago and it made lot of difference
  20. Absolutely love this built, so much love and passion gone into Gandalf. He must be the happiest superb under sun 🌞 πŸ’ͺ🏻
  21. Talking of bad influence of this forum πŸ€ͺ i bought my superb so i will finally have car that doesn't need anything else out of the box....10k + spent later i wonder πŸ˜‚
  22. You will get to it when you ready 😊 small steps every time πŸ‘πŸ»
  23. I've looked into it but wasn't 100% convinced...you can do simple conversion or buy LED upgrade kit. I'm quite happy with current set up as it is 😊
  24. Yes fog lights have been done also. Same make and model of fog light bulbs but halogen, need to get picture of them, definitely whiter than originals
