You seem to have gone through more bottom arms than anyone i know 😳 Glad to hear you are getting somewhere with it. I'm keeping an eye on my rear links being Whiteline and my fronts failed prematurely but so far they are holding up. Time will tell. Will replace my front rotors too next year thinking going Clubsport S discs unless i find something else😁 Next year I'll be getting the timing chain replaced with all the tensioners as well as new uprated water pump and thermostat housing. For now i need to save some cash as this year i spent far too much going stage 2 and installing Brembo 4 pots on front 😎 My subframes are still oem, no plans to replace them anytime soon 🙃unless car decides otherwise 😀

Yes i agree about 034 stuff, very good quality. How does the ride feels with your set up? I'm quite happy with mine atm. Still want to fit Eibach springs but that will be after Christmas Yes mine went in dry 🪒💪🏻

@travs mine feels like new car now. In the end i went back to original bottom arms but also replaced my droplinks on the front. I went for 034 Motorsport dynamic+. Not cheap at £225 for pair, but the built quality and feel of the car is totally worth it 😊

That is absolutely correct you've nailed it. It happened twice now with AD, first time with wrong front pads where they send me pads for 312mm disc even though mine are 340mm which i filtered out, checked against chassis number, cross-referenced with oem part number and even spoke to their technical team who told me that particular part was correct which it wasn't. Same thing this time, Eibach themselves confirmed which kit i need based on chassis number and load ratings for each axle. Checked with Autodoc and boom still wrong. Understand everyone can make mistake but it's the resolving approach what makes difference. In this case they failed miserably.. . lesson learnt

Definitely got to watch where you buying from. I'm now! But even then a decent company with good reputation can make mistake but difference is how these companies approach it afterwards... With Autodoc i couldn't believe my eyes. But still nothing beats my experience with ML Performance this year! And i bought loads of stuff from them over the years

Apparently they opened UK based place in Manchester this year. How true that is I'm not sure. But definitely won't be buying from then again!

Yes i did, been shopping on eBay since 2009. Unfortunately at the time these parts were only available from handful of places and Autodoc was way cheaper -lesson learnt

Just a heads up for anyone thinking to order anything from this company. If they send you wrong parts from UK you are supposed to return them to Germany and cover postage which is not refundable!!! There is no phone to call them or email unless they provide you with one and only way to speak to them is via their chat where if you don't reply within 3 minutes another person will take over and then whole chat clears after 3 hours so there is no trace. About 15 different employees told me different things each. Plus where i live ( channel islands) local post refused to accept my parcel due it's value ( apparently post only accpts up to £120 worth) so only option i had left was DHL which cost £189 to Germany for set of 4 springs. Bear in mind i paid £233 for springs with postage from UK. And return is fully covered by you and not refundable. So if i did that i would only be getting back £44 ( that's if they deem returned parts eligible for refund) So just a little warning before you give your hard earned cash to these people 👍🏻

Yeah that's what i mean... On your picture above the Eibach is quite a bit shorter than original spring, what i received is almost identical length but wider diameter 🤔😣 Anyway I've opened a dispute with Autodoc because the way they handled this is ridiculous...

No quite right... estate springs still fit hatchback but don't lower as much on rear as specific spring for hatchback would as estate is slightly heavier. What i received is completely different rear axle spring.

Not sure mate but this Eibach spring definitely is bigger diameter than my stock spring🤔

This must surely be your favourite topic on here John 😁 Yeah these were wrong from the start but autodoc has moved it to another level by putting two different springs wrongly into wrong box 🙈

Yeah they are cr*p avoid at any cost. They now have charge back initiated by my bank.... their approach to solving problems is ridiculous. Yes H&R front and rear 💪🏻

That's what i thought...Autodoc is trying to say they sent correct kit but each spring might differ in part numbers ( obviously) and are now doing anything to avoid refund...

Can someone please shine some light on this ? Time came for the Eibach springs to get fitted last week only to find out that the rear springs don't fit at all. They are hitting rear droplinks without any weight put on them. Yes i know the springs are for estate and my car is saloon but they don't fit. Unless my mechanic doesn't know how to fit them I'm really lost. Pictures attached below

Yeah that's them...they are mainly for golf. I had them on car for 2.5 years, no issues until now. Just last week i started finding things that failed prematurely because of these arms. They are inch shorter on each side compared to Superb ones. My whiteline droplinks -split, ball joints -split. Got genuine ones fitted today and tomorrow it's going for wheel alignment, next week new droplinks getting fitted (Whiteline) again. I believe you can get Audi TTS bottom arms which are aluminium but I'm done with d*cking around. You can fit them and they work but they will make everything else wear lit quicker. They will also reduce your track width by an inch on each side

Very true about being nicer but for me it's more of a practical mod, car is getting lowered next month not much but where i live there is awful lot of speed bumps

Literally get the car up whether ramp or jack get underneath and grab propshaft near the coupling and try to move it side to side or up and down. It can also be checked visually for signs of perishing. My car has 52k miles so around 80k km?

Yeah I'd never thought about it myself but been getting vibrations in lower speeds and it turns out to be this.... getting the part ordered and will replace soon as possible

For all the Skodians with 4 wheel drive cars, get your propshaft coupling aka doughnuts checked. My car went for quick oil change on Saturday and my mechanic mentioned that the rubber around the coupling is well perished and has a bit of play in it. Apparently common thing on Haldex equipped cars and if left for too long it can cause damage to rear diff... Skoda genuine part is not exactly cheap at £600 but there are cheaper alternatives
