  1. Absolutely agree with you buddy. I want to go for 2x80mm straight cut tailpipes. Would love to get system from within UK but even Milltek said they don't offer anything cat back for superb however their downpipes would fit superb. Have you got any videos of your Octavia with milltek system?
  2. Absolutely😛 personally i prefer sound of the Fox system but there is few points that makes me bit concerned 1-when i asked about fitment they replied-you might have to modify(cut) rear bumper but you will see when you receive it...not keen especially if its coming from so far abroad 2-on their site the fit doesn't seem 100% perfect (one side seems to be hanging lower) 3- no customer reviews, feedback or anything
  3. That sounds good mate, yeah i also mostly use it in D, maybe once a week i stick it in Sport. Definitely no to manual or paddle shift over here. Been to Austria couple of times in it and paddles are awesome on motorway. Lot of people think that being in jersey there isn't much roads to play on. There is plenty as long as you are careful and sensible. But recently police are all over speeders due to idiots in fiestas and clios...but as you say for me its mostly about getting to speed target quicker. Same here with lockdown now only using car on weekend as during a week i use company car( i work for skoda dealership believe it or not) Car currently has 18k since i had it from new, thats with 2 trips to austria and czech republic both approx 2500 miles. I would be careful about centre resonator delete, having read experiences from other forums it does not work well on Superb being long car compared to S3 or Golf R. Guys who done it reported droning issues and reverted back to stock centre resonator. Also my worry with intake would be that it makes it sound like darth vader being sat in engine bay👀 So far i found these two systems both from Germany The latter system from Fox is cheaper but there is no option in changing tailpipes, it only comes with 2x90mm on each side and requires cutting into rear diffuser (not keen) also if you look on their website the fit looks rather odd with one side seemingly sagging more. With Friedrich system you get to choose from like 100 different tailpipe designs. Hoping to get it ordered this or next week. Will definitely post results here
  4. That's good to know...I'm just trying to do it safely and based on where i live it will have to be something like jb4. Been looking at BSR boxes but what puts me off is the resale value....with remap you pay and thats it, money is gone. But with something like jb4 that's been tried&tested you can still get some money back if you get bored/sell car/ or are not happy with it. There is a garage over here that does Celtic tuning maps but not sure i could trust them in wanting to put 500nm through dsg box just with stage 1 👀
  5. That's good to hear...my plan is jb4+ turbo intake pipe+ cat back exhaust. How is it in normal driving in D-mode? Still noticeable power increase?
  6. I see...so with 450ish nm i should be fine? It won't obviously be constant figure as most of a times i have it in D-mode and drive it sensibly. My plan is to do JB4 box, cat back exhaust and turbo inlet pipe...for now😁 been waiting 3 years to do anything lol
  7. Definitely won't be beating it everywhere... Its more just about having bit of extra power when needed, might do occasional launch even that's very sporadic as my boy racing days are over. Would you say the 6 speed dq250 is more robust than dq381? Read mixed opinions...
  8. Hi folks, as above- thinking of getting JB4 for my 280 superb. I have been in touch with guys from BMS technical department regarding DSG map and whether at all is needed for their basic Map 1 or 2 and they said no, not wanting to be disrespectful but is that true? Box is 6 speed and last thing i want is to go bang while in warranty. What are you opinions or experience please?
  9. I had my sportline 280 since new from may 2018 and tyres are still going strong at around 5mm all round. Did 18k so far altogether
  10. I haven't got a clue mate, i had it fitted by friend of mine who is vw technician. All i had to do was to supply centre bolt for steering wheel which was few quid. Sorry i can't help more
  11. There is an alcantara version with flatbottom that's Skoda genuine replacement. Got it in my Superb. Not quite VW but different and defo cheaper than VW
  12. My 2018 sportline 280 came with Bridgestone Potenzas S001, after almost 18k miles they are still going strong. Comes replacement time I'm thinking either Hankooks or Michelins PS4S depending on budget
  13. Just few questions for you knowledgeable lot... Got my eyes on new exhaust system for my Sportline 280. 1- is the standard factory system one piece or is it mounted in sections? 2-does the new aftermarket system/flaps need to be coded in or is it plug and play? 3- can the new system cause any warning lights being 3"? Thank you for any info
  14. Im exactly like you @TheBinarySheep im also wanting to improve sound of my 280 exhaust. I believe car that's pushing close to 300bhp should make more noise at least in Sport mode. But being the type of car it is, i believe there is very fine line between improving it and spoiling it.... Been looking at cat back system from Golf R estate 7.5, the can be had for about 300quid in decent nick but not sure how labour intensive it is to make one fit, but has to be adjusted so i was told on Skoda Modderz on FB. Other than that you looking at £1000+ for half decent cat back system....
  15. Does anyone know if exhaust system (cat-back) from golf r estate 7.5 fits onto superb 280 hatch please?
  16. Hi all and thank you for your reply, i have finally sorted this long ongoing issue that was bugging me...simple spray of silicone lubricant has cured it nicely based on your recommendations so massive thank you😎
  17. Correct, i thought that it was related to slopes but no on flat ground is just same, but only at sort of walking speed, if i go quicker it disappears.... But its been like this since i had it from new
  18. Ok guys here is the video, this was done on flat surface
  19. Sorry guys busy week, not even started the car whole week so not had a chance to do video...it's definitely not bearing as this only happen at low car park speeds, car has 16k miles on it. Its more like sweeping/rubbing sound from front wheels, not really creaking or knocking...sorry i know its a long shot without video but I'll do it over weekend
  20. Had this strange noise coming from front wheels at low speeds. It sounds like something is rubbing or getting into way. It happens regardless whether on slope or flat surface but only at low speeds...i will try to get video of it...anyone else had this?
  21. Great starting to understand it a little more so thank you again. Just a silly question- how do you get correct dataset on the camera?
  22. Had mine for over 2 years and love it. Only issues i had was glove box not closing properly that got replaced under warranty and so did gear knob due to leather peeling off. Check for loss of coolant as these might be prone apparently. Otherwise all what was said above
  23. Sasha this is some amazing invaluable information here thank you so much. So i did a bit more research and 1- my boot handle seems to have those curves 2-my local Skoda can only supply camera with part number as on screenshot below(would that be suitable even my head unit is 3V0 919 606 D, would that be the same camera as you suggested above? Sorry to be a nonsense just trying to make sure I'm ordering right thing, 3- is coding it in very hard? I have access to Skoda systems so that could make it a bit easier....
  24. That's amazing😎 which camera is it then? I mean part number or link please ... You not planning holidays in Jersey BTW? 😜
