  1. all sorted, took it back and the garage replaced the bearing free of charge, they said they checked the hub and it was all good as I caught it early. Cheers guys!
  2. Maybe I could get the garage to sort it free of charge? It was only about 5 or 6 months ago.
  3. Bloody great. The esp fault went when I had the bearing changed, everything seemed to be linked. How much is a new hub and bearing gonna set me back do you think?
  4. I had that bearing replaced about 6 months ago so is it safe to assume it was a badly done job? I'll be taking it back tomorrow. Thanks!
  5. Another thing spotted, should my hub be this far out? I could take the other side off and compare but I'd rather not. It doesn't look right at all to me.
  6. Sorry, won't let me edit last post. It looks to be the carrier that's causing the scratching.
  7. Hi guys, Having a bit of an issue with my brakes. The disc on the passenger front seems to be scraping on the calliper. I can see the suspected part that's scraping but have no idea why, about to take it off and clean up but just wondering if anyone has any ideas?
  8. Quite a difference there with the figures then. is your car mapped? as stated above with a map you might see an even bigger difference, l might give this a go next month, i get the feeling i'm having some issues with misfiring at the moment. The diagrams are very useful, im wondering how easy it would be to make up an adapter rather than recable it.
  9. I'm starting to think I may have a bit of a sticking calliper as well. Horrible scraping sound when reversing on full lock and seems to be doing damage to the disc. Might have to look at cleaning them up. Anyone good with bleeding brakes and such? Don't fancy doing it as a 1 man job.
  10. I need to consider changing from gigaro alloys. Any sort of pot hole feels like I'm off roading, doesn't sound health on the suspension sometimes. Not sure I want to compromise on the look though, the diamond cut gigaros go beautiful.
  11. You can do that ^? How much of a task is that? Also, could you link me to the coils and plugs you got please? Would be intrigued to give that a go.
  12. Interested in the wind deflectors!
  13. I'm free most nights man, even if you just fancy a quick stop by somewhere. Could a bit of an opinion on what you guys think my thud is. most things have been ruled out, i've had a few people say the driveshafts now but im not convinced haha.
  14. would love to have made this. Travelling to lithuania to meet the other half's parents for the first time... Know where i'd rather be hahaha!
  15. Would you mind if I came to check out the splitter? Unless you have pictures, im based in Pontypridd so its not to much of a treck. Thanks.
  16. Im in. Just out of curiosity where is said road that you're all talking about? might take a treck there soon. one of my favourite routes for a nice drive is from home, up the valleys towards maerdy, over the mountain to aberdare then over through brecon, abergavenny and then back through merthyr toward pontypridd. Would love to check this nice road out that you're on about though!
  17. Would absolute love one of these vented bonnets. Can't find one anywhere!
  18. What days you got off mate? Im waiting for a half decent day to change my car suspension!
  19. Discs aren't too expensive. Had a hell of a time with it. Quite bizarre to be honest. In 2 minds over whether to actually change them or not now. It's working again after simply removing and replacing the wheel? Also flew through the mot. Must be a sensor issue? I can't do tomorrow lads, Sunday is good for me again though! Any of you lot have any knowledge with vans?
  20. Well... Things have gotten even more confusing. Turns out they never fitted the discs and pads as the discs I received were too small. However - the problem is fixed, they took the wheel off realised the replacement discs were too small. Put the wheel back on and now it's fine? Safe to say I'm beyond belief, the car then went and passed the MOT with flying colours. Thinking a dodgy sensor?
  21. To be honest after having tyres 2 months ago I was told the brakes were all good so never even crossed my mind. I didn't think it would throw up an esp light either. Anyways, Turns out it wasn't the pads. However I did have them changed all round with some nice new brembos, discs n'all. The calliper was apparently causing the problem. Thinking a set of bigger brakes might be my next move though. Cheers for the help guys, gonna give it a spin when I get home now and hopefully all is well with the green machine.
  22. Kinda glad. I won't miss this now! Off to pick up some new pads this morning, then to fit them in this glorious weather. Half tempted to change the discs as well!
  23. As I've said above, esp light on. Definitely brakes for me, think I might have shot myself in the foot and ****ed the disc as well. If anyone is going and passing by Pontypridd I'll jump in!
  24. I've got esp light on at the moment but it still drives fine, I believe one of my brake pads is shot or an abs sensor maybe. Will be checking it out tomorrow if the weather isn't too bad
