help required desperately
NTFS used to work fine, until some update this year. I tried to install 2023/2024 maps, week 22 with NTFS formatted USB stick, like I had done it times before. Did not work, headunit couldn`t recognie the flash drive. The same drive I always used to update maps. Only after formatting it to FAT32 could install maps. No problems formating 64GB to FAT32 with FAT32 formatter, guiformat_64gb or HPUSBDisk.

Extract for example to downloads or "to here". And from there copy contents to USB. I think exFAT should work, but just in case format it to FAT32.

Link seems to be correct. Should be: https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/en-US/Updates/yourcarsvinnumberhere I recall some 2019 had MIB 3 units, so might be correct. Usually the procedure is like this - you first dowload the zip file. Then extract the file, it extracts into the folder with the same name as zip file is. Then copy all the files from that folder to the root of the USB/SD. Dhould work, as long the memory thing is formatted to FAT32.

You have 2019 Kodiaq with MIB2,5. What you are trying to download is for MIB3, newer headunit. The files you need are:

USB (or SD card) should be formatted to FAT32 (or exFAT). All 3 files sould be located in the root of the memory device (no folders).

AdBlue top-up
Might be. Another thing - after toping on, the manual tells to switch the ignition on and wait for a minute or half to get the sytem understand that the adblue has been added. Pretty strange nowadays, when the system knows 2 seconds later if you dated your neighbours wife or not. I remeber dash told me 11 liters is max to ad, but I did 13 something.

AdBlue top-up
More than arguing about the quantities you should think about the real thing: mine starts to beep when 2500 kms are left. When 0 kms left your car will not move. Or start. I have done 400 kms to left somewhere in Poland with no petrol stations on map. Scary.

TPMS
Just remembered - check the front tyres, inside. 20" means 4 wheel drive and this eats your front tyres from inside. I bet you have a spot or two where the fabric underneath the rubber is coming out. Tyre itself might have 5 or more millimeters left, but the inside thing is bad.

I suspect you have leaks. Valve itself or micropunctures. Check for small screws in tyres. I have had tons of that. If you doubt in readings - buy a manometer (pressure gauge).

Thoughts on the look of the Mark 2
Not so sure about this, but petrol RS is anyway a big question mark. I need newtonmeters more than horses.

Thoughts on the look of the Mark 2
Is the RS announced yet?

MK II looks pretty nice, compared to previous one, but most powerful engine has 200PS? Not for me.

ACT only enables after run in period?
Yes, thats what I am talking about. Messy. ECO mode, ECO light, ACT somewhere between them. Anyway, switching off half of the cylinders on 4 cyl engine is ridicoulous itself. Could understand it was V12 or at least V8. Cannot imagine what they do next to get the emissions figures down, even virtually.

ACT only enables after run in period?
Sorry if I am not catching it all up, but: ECO mode and ACT are totally different things. ACT will disengage 2 cylinders and is available only on the models with "ACT" in the model name (well, at least in here). ECO is a useless feature, when the gearbox is set to Neutral (consuption about 1 liter an hour) after releasing the throttle instead of engine beraking (consuption 0 liters). Correct me if I am wrong.

Throttle response on a vRS Kodiaq (and DTUK/other tuning boxes)
It`s not really hacking, the mod was easy to do. Just not sure Carista can do it.

Throttle response on a vRS Kodiaq (and DTUK/other tuning boxes)
yes, strange , but that`s the way it is.

Throttle response on a vRS Kodiaq (and DTUK/other tuning boxes)
Carista and even OBD11 are not the same level as VCDS and might mess things up sometimes. Instructions, just in case: 1. Module 44 - Power Steering (Code 19249) 2. Adaptation 3. Select - switching driving profile Choices: A - Gradual, controlled by time B - Directly controlled threshold value

Adaptive Lane Assist? Difference…
Well, I said completely off, not just off. Anyway seems that soon the cars will be controlling us, not the opposite.
-
Adaptive Lane Assist? Difference…
Not 100% sure, I have been driven replacement cars several times, but how much I tried, the lane assist is always back after starting the car. No matter if you switch it off on steering wheel or in menu.
-
Adaptive Lane Assist? Difference…
What is weird, on newer models you cannot swith lane assist completely off. Personally do not like this feature.

Kodiaq 2021 RS - Black badges and rear reflector delete.
Front vRS badge cannot be removed. At least my service guys told so when I bought my car. Rear boot door reflector with side reflectors can be replaced with tinted one, look at kopacek.com. There you can also buy front black badge.

Kodiaq new tyres recommendations
Contis wear out even when the car is not moving, Mine lasted for 17 000 kms, which is bit more than 10 000 miles. Best choice of course if the target is to take turns at max speeds. Pirelly is safe choice. Used Hankooks before, no complaints. Goodyear efficientgrip performance are good ones.

DPF regeneration or something else?
@crni611 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Torque-Pro-Elm-327-Bluetooth/dp/B01AC7I7BO/ref=sr_1_16?crid=MM0J8GUJY02&keywords=obd2+dongle&qid=1695541079&sprefix=obd2+dongle%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-16 ELM 327 dongles work definitely with VAG DPF. NB! Works with Android only.
