  1. Just trial testing adding Comma 2 stroke mineral oil to diesel the as many good results from people even with the same engine Fuel economy increase being main factor 300ml then brim the tank, works out as touch over 5ml per liter (200 to 1 dilution) Will report back with finding over time
  2. I always go over an average per full tank 41mpg average sounds reasonable if in a lot of traffic I don't know how exactly the EGR pipe is to remove, as the cooler is underneath the manifold as far as i have seen, its not like the PD140 Anyone who has done one on here would be helpful!
  3. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=377631 any help?
  4. what about the EGR pipe? a pain to remove on the pd170 as far as i am aware
  5. The rear exhaust cam has no setting in VCDS so harder to get right, it at all. I had mine on a dyno at the time so the tuning company was adjusting it on the go, then trying again etc etc Can you show me this EGR kit delete? and does it keep the anti shudder device ? Cheers
  6. http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a3-tdi-2005-juddering-at-idle.150357/page-2 Interesting on torsion values on the PD engine
  7. Hey That is weird about the plugs? Did you get a dyno plot printout on the remap? good guide for seeing the approx torque curve Do you have any leaks of boost anywhere? a smoke test will show this up in 5 minutes Also its easy for the EGR connection near the inlet manifold/anti shudder valve (ASV) to sometimes leak I checked mine a few days ago and it was seeping air as it had a blanking plate added I tested with a fairy liquid solution making tiny bubbles now sorted with cleaning and small amount of hi temp sealant If you were based fairly close I would help you out no problem
  8. LMAO you get some right stupid answers and solutions when asking people like that!
  9. Hi have you had your front cam position checked on VCDS? Mine was very slightly out Unless you are giving it a lot of shorter journeys that sounds a bit low I changed the fuel filter, and all filters, and oil twice now Initially I was getting 500 miles to tank motorway and a bit of town I had the work done with DPF removed, EGR off, and mapped, and front cam torsion value set to 0.0 I have had 4 wheel hunter alignment done Tyres are all at about 33-34psi The Car gave me 580 miles recently on 57 litres brimmed tank which is 46+ mpg I have got 620 miles recently which is just under 50mpg Currently as of now the car is showing 640-650 miles, that was a lot of motorway, in total which is just under 52mpg These are all calculated on app/web not on the cars dash mpg display, that actually under reads a little Oh and I drive at 65mph on motorway most of the time The later CR engine is meant to be slightly better on fuel as we know, but it depends on driving style etc

  13. Granted in a normal situation that may be true BUT the manager (clueless) was going on about my car being leak free and holding pressure as the gas was put it Also he said the compressor was not kicking in, which on this type in this car does not do as it is constant :sun:
  14. http://www.autoairco...o.uk/index.html Not sure on your location though mate £48 approx per car, he sorted my Octy and my missus Audi on the day My car need a slightly knackered pressure switch (also Kwik fit let the gas out somehow) a new updated switch fitted in no time I am not sure how far he travels but he is a very nice hardworking bloke and I would use his services again without a doubt

  17. Hi guys, if you are having issues with the aircon not working its would be advisable to get a decent automotive aircon guy to take a look and gas/repair it I went to Kwik fit a few days ago for a re-gas who then cocked it up, letting some gas out of the system and it obviously still not working and now flagging low gas pressure on VCDS Called a decent chap in, as soon as he turned up he connected up and said its got no gas in it! A quick leak test just 5 minutes with the leak sensor and it was the pressure switch that was goosed and possibly leaking very slowly being the original 30 mins later a new updated pressure switch fitted and re-gassed, now works perfectly! We also got him to re-gas the other car on the day, lovely and cold aircon now Just thought this would help guys thinking of using them, I would never use them for aircon again as they are clueless Aircon guy works all over the south of England, if you need his details drop me a message Obviously I wouldn't just post the business up here Cheers guys
