  1. Lol, I got it from ebay. There is someone selling that full GT kit Genuine Skoda fabia bumpers (sport) on eBay (end time 23-Sep-09 18:21:37 BST) Think I prefer the vRS front bumper, but the rear, as you say, is the exact same as the vRS. Will keep and eye out for even the lower spoiler now since I now know its the same as the vRS and just fits onto the existing bumper. Just need to find some bumpers and the roof spoiler to got with her leather interior and alloys I've got waiting to go on Thanks for your help mate on this topic
  2. Ahhh Juego from SVAG Remember to give Touch Ups a shout when you want the sides resprayed. I take it you removed your bumpstrips then?
  3. Ahhhh so the lower section is just a cover that fits on top of the existing bumper? I've got you know Like this? So if I even got the lower half with the exhaust cut out it should just fit on top of the existing bumper?
  4. Looks like this one is shaped where the swage line is, as if another section sits on top. Or is it just my eyes playing tricks Knew I had a pic somewhere lol
  5. Great pic. Nice one So is the top section seperate too? Looks like its held on with small cable ties along that bar line. Or is that the original bumper and the larger bottom section is the kit spoiler?
  6. Thanks mate, I've been looking at changing the bumpers on the wifes Fabia for some vRS ones, but the rear ones I've seen have all varied. Some look complete like the pic above, some appear to be in two pieces, i.e. splits where the line is that I've circled above and others appear to be one piece, but where the line is, is shaped back as if a top section sits on top if that makes sence.
  7. Is the rear bumper on the vRS 2 piece? i.e. does is split where circled on the picture below? Cheers
  8. Was at my dealer today picking up plastic trim for the rear wiper and was speaking to the salesman about the next vRS. He confirmed that it will only be available with the 1.4 TFSi engine with DSG and paddles. No diesel or manual version will be available. Even he said it will be interesting to see how it does when launched. Also had a seat in the latest Superb, what a lovely big car that is
  9. Were xenons an option on any other model of Fabia other than the vRS? Seen what looked like a "normal" Fabia with OEM xenons and wondered if they were retrofitted.
  10. Were you the one that bid with 1 second to go? I was winning at £52 with 4 seconds to go then refreshed page to see I'd won, but had jumped to £68 lol. Think I'll get it fitted by a coachtrimmer who I'm thinking of getting to do the headlining in my car. Cheers mate Got to say, yours looks fantastic. You have any more pics of the interior with the door cards finished? Think I might need to get new door cards tho, as the ones on the wifes are cloth all the way up to the window with the black plastic door pull, unlike yours where top section is plastic with the chrome door pull.
  11. I won the red and black set, the same as those posted, last night. Got them for the wife's Fabia so will keep them as part of her Christmas
  12. Could try this one. Not too expensive either standard Civic Type R/S2000 Stubby Aerial cupra,vag,r32 on eBay (end time 27-Aug-09 18:02:17 BST)
  13. Just stupid wee things, like door lock problem and temperamental drivers window. Tried a part exchange a while back on a BMW 1 Series and was offered stupid low money for it. Even the dealer told me best to sell it private to a "VW enthusiast" where I would probably get between £1500-2000 more. I find that my Bora is a lot heavier to drive. The steering and gearchange on the Fabia is so much lighter and nicer, and although I have nice supportive Recaros in the Bora, find the Fabia much more comfy. It's also got more space inside that the Bora, which I was surprised with. Still in two minds what to do
  14. It's already lowered 45mm. If I did keep it I'd plan to get it on air, after the interior was retrimmed
  15. Cheers mate I still like the Gora, but the way the wifes Fabia drives just feels so much nicer and is actually comfier than mine Don't think it would be a limited edition vRS, as a little out my price range but really fancy a red vRS
  16. Sorry should have said, its a 99 1.9 TDi (110)
  17. As some of you might know, we recently bought a 1.2 HTP Silverline for my wife. After driving it more and more and spending all weekend driving it, I have really fallen for the Furby. So much so that I am considering a vRS for myself. The only problem is I still love my current car, and would like to do more to it, but I have already spent a lot of money on over the last 5 years and will only spend even more on it getting it exactly how I want. It's even won a show and shine trophy after its last visit to the bodyshop. Saying that, I am fed up with little niggly things with it which could easily be fixed but involve more money and getting to the bottom of whats wrong. There are so many things going for the Fabia, such as cheaper road tax, newer car, slightly cheaper insurance etc. So my dilemma is do I keep my Bora or sell it and get a vRS? Here's a few pics of my Bora to show what I've done to it. What would you guys do if you were me? Cheers
  18. Got them from Here Ordered them at 1pm and were with me by 9am the following morning - fantastic service There is only one way they'll fit. Don't seem to affect performance, and miles better than the standard wipers. No shudder or smudging and look great too For under £12 for the pair you can't complian
  19. Yeah I've been pretty quiet on here mate, not really done anything to the Fabia to post about, other than driving it Really lovin it, infact its nicer to drive than my Bora, the steering and gearchange on the Fabia are so light and the seats are really comfy compared to my Recaros. Been a bit more active on SVAG with my own car though and general stuff
  20. Nothing too exciting, just some aero wipers. The old ones were so noisy and shuddery that they had to go. Replaced them with the aeros and they are so much better. Even the wife likes the look of them She's even dropped hints at what else she wants to do to it
  21. Wow, didn't think this topic would get so many replies Thanks for all your responces. Well, in the end we didn't try picking it up in the Fabia. We were going to get it delivered but they couldn't deliver for 3 weeks which was ok with us, then they ran out of stock for delivery, so myself and my mate went over in his works Transit and picked it up last night. Put it in through the side door and secured it to the cabin screen with tie ropes to keep it upright. Got it sitting in our hall still boxed teasing me until the new unit arrives to put it on :(
  22. Thanks for the replies guys I had considered picking it up in my Bora but the boot is full of crap and the wifes Fabia only has an umbrella and shopping bags in it But since its recommended to keep it upright I might just get it delivered. Would just mean that I am waiting about 3 weeks to get it as opposed to picking it up this afternoon, but for peace of mind think delivery might be the best option.
  23. Basically, as per the title. Will a 42" LCD telly fit in the back of the Fabia? TV size is (H)670mm (W)1035mm (D)100mm. If the back seats are down you think it will fit OK? Thanks
  24. We picked up our Fabia yesterday and are lovin it. Drives really well and nice and smooth, infact it's smoother than my Bora TDi. Could maybe see myself getting a vRS soon
  25. Got one of these for my car, but only used it the once at Ultimate Dubs last year and kept it on for the journey back to Glasgow. When I took it off it had left small hairline scratches all along the bonnet when the edge of the bra sat, and it wasn't due to dirt being trapped underneath it as the car was immaculate from being on show. The scratches polish out OK, but I've not used it since then. Mind you I do like the look of it on
