Hello, I would like to ask if anyone has information about the functionality cruise control after replacing the gearbox 2.0 TDI BKD (PD) to a variant of the 2.0 TDI 103 kilowatts (CR). These transmissions have lower speed at the 5 and 6st, but so far I could not find what is "allowed" speed range of the engine ECU for proper function cruise. Thank you for anything

karlos1987 replied to marekczek's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
not, slip rings are fully compatible, problem is only between preFL and FL, because FL has angle sensor integrated in slip ring. -
Which kind of BSG/BCM do you have? We are talking about preFL or FL car?

Octavia MK2 is 1Z, but is builts on VW platform A5 ( Golf, Audi A3, Leon) Octavia MK3 is 5E, correct platform under MQB I don't know

Hello Phil, technically it is not possible, because Octavia/Golf platform has different place for locks and so on, you only possibility is take the cover and place him on octavia seats, not more. Sadly, the rear armrest doesnt fit too, but is very nice (drink holders+storage). -

2008 Scout replacement engine options
karlos1987 replied to Scathel's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Engine swap is possible, it works etc, but for example in Czech republic, you cant change engine to different type or dismount DPF. For example BMM is 8V with DPF => EURO4, without DPF is not EURO4 and is out of homologation => not legal. Next, change of PD engine to CR with all things (DPF, ECU, exhaust...) is not possible, only 2008 RS was homologation with CR engine and only with 125kw... Technically, there is no problem, chassi is same, original parts are available, but it is restricted by law and Skoda too. So you cant passed trough STK (DEKRA/MOT) legally, and if you see any rebuilt car, it is sure it is not legal or must pass trough many tests (emission, brake tests etc.) wich are not gratis => nobody do it. Is very interesting, that UK is very similiar to USA and is open to customization of cars! -

karlos1987 replied to Scathel's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Change of engine type is not allow by Skoda Auto => there is no legal chance for it. Yes, devil Yeti exists and mechanically etc is there no problem, but problem is law, so you can re-built, but not use on the road as regular car. -

Change of engine is possible only with same type: BKD-BKD, BMM-BMM etc, no next option available at all. Skoda has no legal possibility. -

karlos1987 replied to mattupnorth's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have A6 (4F) seats, with only electrical lumbal support, rest is mechanical, but are S-line, co better shape in shoulders area, good sides. I did one more hole in the floor of my car. Electric is very easy and heating is compatible too. Airbag connector is different in MY2008 too. -
