  5. Got in the car after work today at art driving car felt a bit funny Got home connected my cheap vag scanner and 2 fault codes have come up 18000 and 16622 Search on Google found me that both codes mean 18000/P1592/005522 Contents [hide] 1 18000/P1592 P1592/005522 - Altitude Sensor / Boost Pressure Sensor: Implausible Correlation 16622/P0238/000568 - Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31): Signal too High so I'm guessing there both saying the boost sensor is gone funny I did get some code yesterday buy I just cleared it and left it to see if it would return This has come today so I'm guessing this is wrong Can anyone point in the right direction or will I need to take it to a approved garage car is a 2005 1.9 pd105 mk2 octavia PLEASE HELP
  6. Well found another place booked in for saturday 11 o'clock http://www.wheelalignmentcentrebirmingham.co.uk/
  7. Yes was 100% hunter rig There is nowhere else I know of in birmingham that uses any technology like this as everywhere else only has a 2 wheel system
  8. No he did ask me what year it was and I stated 2005 and also told him it is a normal octavia with standard suspension I do also know that the mk1 went till 2009 however when u click on mk2 it should state 2005-2013 however the tracker must have thought it is the last model of 1996 till 2005
  9. This is the printout I was given As you can see the passenger side is out by a bit due to a very nasty pot hole that has made my pocket lighter then it was by killing the new tyre I had and now after getting tracking checked the hub also needs hanging before I can track as I have been told And the pothole has also been repaired the same day just my luck carnt even get compensation from council
  10. Thanks for info mike however I have not had the set up yet only had the current tracking checked and then went to get wheels balanced I will be going back on the weekend and just say to him my car is 2006 just to cut the story short thanks for your help guys much appriciated Just checked my logbook and 1st registration of my car was 13-10-2004 54 reg However It is definatly a 1z model mk2
  11. I have the printout of the allingment setting that are on now but it's in the car will take a picture and upload tommorow
  12. I went to get my tracking done and he checked it on the computer and said it would be better to get wheels balanced 1st but by the time I had done so he was closed The pass side was out of allingment but before he checked the tracking he asked me the year of the car which was 2005 mk2 octavia On the paper I realised later it said at the top 1996-2005 which I'm sure is mk1 I did ring him back and explain my car was mk2 2004-2013 but he was certain to say that my car chassis was a 2005 and come under the 1996-2005 My question is when I take my car back on Monday shall I just say that it's a 2006 model to make things easier because the tracker was 100% the chassis was the same as he kept saying
  13. Driver side rear caliper sticking thanks for the help
  14. Just because u change all them doesn't mean something else carnt mess up, cars can go up to way more millage but 200 and a lot of parts will need changing down to wear and tear It's really up to you at the end of the day if you think it would be able to sell in the future
  15. What would be the diy way of checking if the caliper is sticking ? Spin the wheel while jacked up
  16. Doesn't matter your right anyway so let's leave it as that when I get it rectified I will let you know what the cause was

The pads and disc on the front are jurid from gsf and the rear pads where Apec I need to do some power stops because I think it's the dust as the car hasn't been washed since brake change about a month or 2 ago and all the wheels are filthy, really really filthy from far you would think they have been powder coated gun metal grey -.-
  20. When I bought my skoda (1.9 pd105 2004 54 plate model) the belt was changed in 2008 at 60k I bought it at 118k in 2014 and just changed it as soon as I got it But just depends how brave you are
