Did you say you have vcds? You can check cam and crank speeds in measured values. Could also save the value's or take a photo and post it back here.

Might be worth looking up above the brake pedal for brake fluid leaking from the master cylinder through the bellows and along the pedal rod.

You might be able to use this above link if you want a single solid mass. If you have a dual mass.

Fairly sure it's a solid single mass flywheel on vehicles without stop start and dual mass on stop/start. But I might be wrong as I'm getting old too be honest. I done a clutch last week on a 2012 1.6 cr Octavia Cayc engine it had a solid flywheel and it was genuine Skoda.

Good point. You have completely trusted this trader and they have "Tucked you right up" I reckon it's whoever agreed to buy your car was stupid enough not to look deeply enough at your motor and now they realise there's no money to be made for their greedy fat pockets.
A car is never sold till the money is in your pocket.

I been there myself. It's no fun. I used to park at the back of the car park furthest away so my car wouldn't get damaged but sadly it still happens. It's nice not to give a monkey's about my car anymore.

I used to keep a few tools in the back. Over 100000 miles later and no break downs. ..I no longer bother. Plus would be good to use my aa membership if it should happen.

I used to work for Skoda. We had a few in with this issue. Always a Vrs. Always noticed when the steering wheel was used with no hands. Usually worse with Dunlop sp sport maxx tyre's. 205 40 17 iirc . The 4 wheel alignement was setup not by me as most Skoda dealer's do not have the equipment but by our Volkswagen branch using the Hunter set up or beise bath. Anyway every one we done was no better after 4 new tyre's (usually Pirelli)& the alignment. We also told by Vag technical under no terms were we allowed to road test the vehicle using "no hand's". Obviously I did and agree with what you are saying. Anyway I wouldn't invest much of your own cash in making it steer straight with no hand's on the wheel driving. They pretty all seem to suffer with this in my opinion.

What makes you think it's pulling do you constantly have to correct the steering or are you letting go of the steering and then noticing it drifts to the left?

If they are like my Skoda dealer then it's because they only have one Technician in this week. A ten ramp dealership with one fella working .....Ridiculous. I done it for 24 year's then realised I could get the same pay at a small friendly garage. The guy I work for now is the most honest person I have ever met in the motor industry. It's a refreshing change doing the work that's required and not trying to sell work to meet ridiculous targets imposed by a big company. Btw £1000 plus vat sounds right at the dealer's.

Really? Everyone should take their 4x4 egr replacement to you then. Where abouts are you?If you do a couple you can get them well within the repair time regardless if its a 4x4 or FWD.

We used to get 6 hours to change that egr on the 4x4. when I worked at Skoda. One of the reasons I left

£4k for the dsg box if it goes pop? Is that with free labour?
Average dsg box is £3350 + vat +4 or 5 hours labour plus vat.

1 hour to do 19 miles but last week I brought a folding bike and now I have wiped 20 minutes of my journey. I drive 17 miles now park it away from the town. Then cycle the last 2 miles. Now I'm there in 40 minutes. Also feel physically better and save £28 a week in parking charges.

Changed probably one a week when I worked at a Skoda dealer. Costs a lot of money and I know a few people who have experienced 2 or more failures of this egr solenoid and cooler assembly on their engine. Real pita if you have a 4x4 Yeti. So pay out or like other's say delete it. Bear in mind the removal of any emission control is illegal and should fail the mot (depending on the knowledge of the mot tester and integrity) most people will remove it and have the egr mapped out as money talks and it will undoubtedly run better. Who cares about lung cancer if it's going to cost people 4 figure sums.

You will still have an electric lift tank pump. Try disconnecting the battery . Leave it off for half an hour. Reconnect and try it.
