6 Cd Changer ?
Pretty sure a 2012 Octavia will have a Bolero with an in-built CD changer rather than a boot mounted version? If so, you might need to take the radio out and apart to release the stuck CD?

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
Sure, feel free to see what they say... I'd still suggest checking the wiring as they'll probably claim the ABS unit is checked and fine.

Rear light clusters
There seem to be a few on eBay, I think these are all LED units: - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373085298799 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123477593459 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283636149584 I expect it's cheaper than a dealer?

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
Excellent, thanks for clearing things up. In XUN-397-TMBGE61Z782196745-320680km-199261mi.txt there is the error "16352 - Control Module - Electrical Error 014 - Defective". You need to find out why and fix it. You should rule out the wiring by checking the (two?) power feeds and the ground to the ABS module connector are working. It's also worth doing a load test to make sure they can carry current as well as voltage. Damaged or failing wiring can cause this error code. If the wiring is good, the ABS module might be faulty. Once you can clear that error, you might need to zero code the module and recode using the lcode you already have. Finally, you should probably do the basic settings for G85, G200, G201 as mentioned here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Brake_Electronics_(MK60EC1)

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
I think you need to be more clear what state the car was in for the scans you've provided. error codes 1.docx - looks like the car with the new ABS but not coded error codes 2.docx - just the ECU? Ignoring abs-coding.txt - lcode for the ABS module What is Log-XUN-397-TMBGE61Z782196745-320680km-199261mi.txt? Does it have the old or new ABS module fitted? Did the new ABS module accept the lcode from the old ABS module? If so, can you post a scan showing what error codes are present?

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
It's accepted the code so it's probably correct. Is this a used unit as at least looking online, "16352 - Control Module - Electrical Error 014 - Defective" is normally linked to a failed or failing ABS module. No harm in checking and load testing the power and ground connections for the ABS module.

Mk2 FL CR170 coil spring
You can also check the non-replaced side for paint dots as that'll help confirm which spring is fitted and if it matches Gissins.
-
Mk2 FL CR170 coil spring
Skoda have load of different springs for the Octavia depending on engine, model and even equipment. Most aftermarket manufactures will have as few as possible to keep costs down so although 627780520 might be 'correct' for your Octavia, it does not mean it'll match the original factory fitted spring. If you only had one side done, I'd definately suggest you get the other side to match. If you decide just to replace one, at the very least you should check what's fitted to the other side so you can match it.

Front parking lights fuse
Daft question, have they ever worked?
-
Front parking lights fuse
There isn't a fuse specifically for the the side/parking lights so if all the other lights are working, the fuses are fine. If you've only just replaced the bulbs, it might need an ignition cycle or some time before they'll work again.

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
Yup, the easiest and best solution is to copy the code from the old unit for the new one If it doesn't work, post the original autoscan and we can go from there.
-
ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
If you can get the autoscan with the old ABS code in, that'll make this much easier It is possible to create the code from scratch but it's preferred to use the original code if possible.

ABS central unit changed, how to fix fault codes?
You need to code the new ABS module. Have you got an autoscan with the old ABS module still fitted?

Mirror swap. Facelift Octavia II + preFL mirrors
Surely the existing pre-fl mirror connector has a part number on it so you can buy replacements rather than cutting it off? If you can also post the fl mirror connector, it might be possible to find a socket for that too edit: At a guess, the pre-fl version might be 3B0972726? Certainly looks similar to this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172197189199 although a dealer might be cheaper. This might be the FL version? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000181161162.html

DRL turns off when headlight comes ON
The clue is in the name, they are daylight or daytime running lights. They are too bright for use at night and should turn off when the sidelights or headlights are on...

Skoda Rapid 1.4tdi 2016 can gateway
Even if the ROD file is missing, the autoscan should still complete. You'll just have labels: None as per this scan: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?12797-quot-No-ROD-file-found-quot Feels like it might be a VCDS bug so you may need to wait for them to fix it... There isn't a public beta at the moment so you can't try that 😕

Octavia MK2 FL VRS LED DRL not dimming & blinding others during night time
Aside from your VCDS version being massively old and likely a clone which may cause you issues, I can't see anything in the coding that would mess this up. At least it seems to match up with a couple of vRS's I've scanned previously. Very much feels like a byte 18 problem I'm afraid 😞

Skoda Rapid 1.4tdi 2016 can gateway
I'm sure Andy will sort you out, he'll certainly know more than I do. If you take a look at this example scan from another similar Rapid: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?8759-skoda-rapid-not-started You can see the Central Electronics and CAN gateway share the same hardware: Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels: 6R0-937-08x-09.clb Part No SW: 6R0 937 087 R HW: 6R0 937 087 Component: BCM PQ25 H+4 H34 0424 Address 19: CAN Gateway (J533) Labels: 6N0-909-901-6R.clb Part No SW: 6N0 909 901 HW: 6R0 937 087 Component: GW-K-CAN TP20 H34 0424 Pretty sure this is because they are combined in a single unit

Skoda Rapid 1.4tdi 2016 can gateway
Pretty sure it's built into the BCM/Cent Elect module and that 6C0 909 901 is just the software version. As you using a genuine VCDS cable with the latest software?

vcds 18.9
No - you should install the latest version as per my links. If that doesn't work, you have a cloned or pirated interface and should send it back to the seller for a refund. You can then buy a genuine version :)
-
vcds 18.9
As above... The current English release is 20.4.1 from here: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php As it appears you may have a French licenced interface, you can probably also use the French version from their distributor which is currently 19.6.2: https://rosstech.fr/content/6-telechargements

service now message
If I remember, I'll drop you a message next time I'm in Cambridge and I can reset it with VCDS. Just need to wait for the office to reopen first ;)

Replacing a teeny tiny little screen with something usable...
It's still required for most headunits although wireless AA has now been released. That being said, I like the fact it's connected by a wire as it means my phone is fully charged during my commute.
