I'm not really sure what else to say at this point. No amount of pulling the door handle will unlock the car. I obviously haven't seen the footage but they must have done something at the same time to get access - maybe something a simple as a bend coat-hanger but this is not a place to be discussing car entry methods. Once they have physical access to the OBD port then probably possible to bypass the immobiliser. This is not a unique problem to Skoda or VAG, lots of cars are vulnerable to this style of attack. You really should take the car to a Skoda (maybe a VW) dealer to see what state the electronics are in. It might need modules restoring to the factory settings and various things updating. If nothing else, they should be able to repair to the stage where the locks, immobiliser and alarm (if fitted) work. Some modules may need replacing depending what happened when the car was stolen. Your best next steps are to contact the repairer and you insurance stating it's not been repaired to suitable standard. If that doesn't work, you may need to seek legal advise and take it further.

Apply heat, penetrating oil etc and hope it comes out... If not, add more torque until it either comes out or snaps. Once it snaps, drill out and heli-coil it

Forum guidelines state we can't have content that "promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others" so until you have a genuine cable, I won't be able to help... Ross-tech do great work so if you find their product useful, you really should buy a genuine version

Yeah, that'll be a challenge! Can you install the latest English VCDS version from Rosstech: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php You can have both languages installed at the same time without issue

If it's been previously stolen, it's probably had various modules messed with to disable the immobiliser. You might need a new ECU, instrument cluster etc... I'd suggest speaking with your insurance and let them know the car has not been repaired to a satisfactory state. At a guess, it might need to go to a Skoda dealer for various replacement modules along with the appropriate coding/parametrisation.

The immobiliser isn't a separate thing, it's built into various modules like the ECU and instrument cluster. Bypassing it isn't as simple as just removing fuse(s)

How to set up Android Auto in my car.
langers2k replied to roaddetective's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Try a new good quality cable -
Maybe post a full autoscan and an adaption map from 09. That will help determine how the car is coded and any likely changes. Typically the W5W bulb for the eyelashes should be cool white. I assume you've changed them for orange versions? Are these stock headlights?

What are you trying to achieve? Just curious As above, erwin is the correct source. It's pretty easy to find VIN's online for various years and the WD aren't specific to a VIN as they cover the general case.

Tow Bar Module and Parking Sensors Help
langers2k replied to steve533's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Replacing the tow bar module is very unlikely to help. You will also need to recode and parameterise the replacement module after fitting. I think you're looking in the wrong place, the workshop manual states it's near the brake pedal: I'll say it again - get the car on some proper diagnostic equipment and see why it's not working rather than guessing. By randomly replacing parts you're just going to make the diagnosis harder... -
2018 Octavia subwoofer install and speaker cables
langers2k replied to Lare111's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Please look at the diagram again. For the left rear door, the cables are only red/white and brown/white inside the door. They change at the connector at the door pillar... That suggests 1.5mm brown/black and 1.5mm red/black between the headunit and door pillar connector. -

Tow Bar Module and Parking Sensors Help
langers2k replied to steve533's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Why do you think that module is causing issues with your park assist? The exterior certainly looks in good condition... Have you had the car scanned for error codes yet? It could be as simple as a sensor has failed or even even the buzzer. -

RNS-510 Columbus Map Update Issue
langers2k replied to Mart160plus's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
The DVD drives can be a bit sketchy these days. There used to be an alternative method (Maptool) where you'd use a CD to start the map update and it would pull it from an SD card. Might be worth trying a RNS-510 repairer to see if they can provide the CD/SD combo to update your maps. Random example of a repairer who might be able to help: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296282628527 -
I'm not super far away and I've got ODIS somewhere, I need to dig out the right laptop and make sure it still works. I've done a parameter upload on my TPMS module previously: Address 65: Tire Pressure (J502) Labels: 3AA-907-273.clb Part No SW: 5Q0 907 273 B HW: 5Q0 907 273 So I assume the D rev should be a near identical process. As for the HBA mirror, you need to reflash it rather than recode it based on the instructions here: https://www.drive2.ru/l/606426293524771900/ It's somewhat more risky but might work

OEM ambient lighting retrofit
langers2k replied to Florin55's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
As per your other thread, it depends what your kit needs. OEM ambient lighting takes a permanent live feed from fuse 8: -
Tourist mode will stop your low beam cut off causing other drivers issues. If you leave tourist mode off and DLA on, although your high beams probably won't cause an issue, the low beam will. That's assuming the system will even take cars on the unexpected side into consideration

Add aftermarket ambient light
langers2k replied to Unecc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
An OEM kit would connect to permanent power, ground and lin-bus. Probably sharing a fuse with other ambient lighting. I have zero idea what an aftermarket kit would connect to. What do they instructions say...? At a guess it'll want either permanent or switched power and earth. The latter will stop any battery drain but they'll only work with the ignition on. -

VCDS Security acces code for 09 control electronics in Superb mk2

What guide are you following? Pretty sure in a MK2 cornering fogs are part of the lcode and not an adaptation channel... Can you post an auto scan and adaption map from 09? -
SKODA OCTIVIA TYRE BURST WHILE RUNNING IN CRUISE CONTROL
langers2k replied to Deepa's topic in Hellos and Goodbyes
I had my front left tyre blow out on a pothole recently along a wet motorway at 70mph (~112kph). The car continued in a straight line and I was able to pullover in a controlled manner without issue. Based on that, it feels there is more to your sons incident than your post suggests... Regardless, I would suggest contacting a legal representative who's familiar with Indian laws to see what your options are. I doubt many on this forum have many skills in that area- 15 replies
