  3. that's what i have been told, i was trying to see if i could find out on one of the sites on line what make and part number is fitted to my car before it goes into the garage so i can make shore the correct ones are fitted ? i was hoping there would be a site that i could enter my vin number or something to see what is fitted in my car? cheers kev
  4. thanks for reply, its just that i was told the car will not do its own regen if there is any problems with the glow plugs or the glow plug relay. i thought that may be the case, when i cold started it in the morning the car just started strait away as normal, but no check engine light came on and didn't come on the rest of the day, so i thought it may have wanted to do a regen the other day when the light came on as it wasn't able to do the regen why one of the glow plugs where faulty. cheers kev
  5. hi, can anyone tell me what make and part number glow plugs i will have fitted in my (2013 mk2 face lift superb 2.0tdi cr 170bhp 4x4) ? i had a check engine light come on yesterday 1st light that has ever come on so took it strait to the indi garage that i use and he plugged his diagnostics in and came up with number 3 cylinder glow plug was faulty, so will need to get it replaced, am i right in thinking that the car will not do its regens if a glow plug is not working properly ? is there a way of getting the make and part number for the glow plugs in my car before they are taken out? cheers kev
  6. it seams that the make and model in my car (valeo 1K2820015G) is the one with the regulator attached to it, the latest development is the motor seams to be working a bit the control for the heater blower motor is the press + and the little green led lights go up to 7 i think, the blower motor starts coming out of the vents and you can hear the fan slightly one the first light but will not go any higher after the first light, so hear is my question could the motor be ok and it is the regulator that is faulty ? i don't want to pay out for a new motor with the regulator if it is the regulator that is at fault, any advice would be much appreciated. cheers kev
  7. managed to get a pic of the bottom of the heater motor ( valeo 1k2820015G) looked on line for them and was seeing prices for £200+ but also found other makes of the equivalent part much cheaper do i need to replace like for like or is it ok to get the equivalent make that's much cheaper ? makes like ridex and nrf cheers kev
  8. just looked on eBay and my heater/ac control looks the same as this one item number (256504967026) sorry don't know how to put a link up, so dose this mean that my car has (manual climate control or auto) the reason i don't know is i never use it lol but i need to know so i can order the right blower motor one has a regulator attached to it and the other one doesn't? cheers kev

  11. unfortunately the mechanic cant remember which one of the motors it was, and i would need to book it in for them to look very helpful, is there a anywhere i could get the sing the reg or vin number i need ? everywhere i look it gives me the option of 2x one with resister and one without cheers kev
  12. hi, thanks for reply unfortunately i am in the same position as you to old to be rolling around on the floor under cars now so i know where you are coming from if you are the same as me, its frustrating having to pay some one to do the jobs that you used to do your self but what else can you do. yea i got the motor looked at by a mechanic and asked if he could get the motor freed up, as i had read that the motors where prone to seizing and you can gat away with freeing them up so did that but it only lasted a week or so and packed up again so now waiting till after the bank holiday to go and see the machinic to ask which of the heaters i need the one with the resistor or without. dose anyone know the make of the motors skoda use? cheers kev
  13. thanks for your reply much appreciated! kev

  15. right thanks for reply, i think it may have something to do with the climatic control, i think but not shore one of the motors goes in the one with the sun roof and the other motor is for the one without the sun roof lol i haven't got a clue way perhaps some one can let us know/ cheers kev

  18. thanks for reply, so is my only option to but a new compressor?
  19. hi everyone, with summer on the way i finally decided to get my a/c compressor fixed, is there a repair kit for my compressor (SANDEN 1K0 820 859 F) having trouble finding some sort of refurb kit for it? every time i think i have found something it turns out that its from another make and not a sanden there are plenty of second hand compressors for sale the same as mine but knowing my luck if i get a used one fitted it would pack up within a week lol. so i thought of going down the route of getting the one on my car repaired should work out a bit cheaper for me fingers crossed, i am presuming it will need gas out and gas back in ? i have no idea of the price for that + the compressor removed and re fit + refurb, has anyone had this done and could give me some idea of cost? cheers kev!
  20. did you get to the bottom of the problem you where having with your blower motor? i am getting the same problem cheers kev
  21. i couldn't tell you buddy i just know it made a growly/jangly type nose when the engine was running but couldn't tell where exactly it was coming from, then found if i turned the are con on it stopped making the nose. then after some time the air con stopped working and then i realised that there was no tiny increase in the rpm when sat just ticking over, when it was working there was always i small increase on the rpm counter when you switch the air con on at idle. cheers kev
  22. so can you get air con compressors repaired? at what sort of cost ? obviously the pump would need sending off to where they repaired them if they can be repaired but would that leave the car unusable until the pump was re fitted ? cheers kev
  23. hi to everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas & new year, i have a 1013 face lift superb and the ac compressor stopped working it first stated rattling/jangling when it wasn't switched on but went quiet when i switched the aircon on so i was thinking pully bearing? didn't bother me that much as weather was getting colder but i hate things not right on my cars so priced a new compressor good job i was sitting down when i made the phone call lol, anyway i have found a second hand one with the same make and the same part number. but this used one is coming off a (2007 vw touran) with this being the same make and part number would it have the same fitting points on it? cheers kev
  24. thanks very much for your help they will do nicely cheers kev
