  1. Hybrid next 230 - 240bhp from stage 1 hybrid treatment
  2. We'll be ready by February Software is developed, just perfecting the flash tool itself
  3. Welcome The P-Torque remap is £265.00 all in for forum members, including dyno runs before/after
  4. What remap are you running? Its rare to see anything other than improvement or at least similar MPG. When driving normally If you drive it hard, then it will be slightly worse
  5. Well, I hate the things as I know of alot of horror stories... If you want some help with regards to writing the ECU, drop me an e-mail
  6. Its possible, but unlikely that you could have read the file in that case...
  7. Connect to pin outs on the ECU, apply boot probe to soldering joint which is linked to leg 2 of the PSOP44 chip. Call me when you need the ECU recovering
  8. Your brave for using that ''tool'' in the first place. Read should take 2 minutes, same for write...rather than risk a £800.00 ECU, why not get the mapping done professionally?
  9. Do you have the full Milltek system fitted or just CAT-Back? Our Stage 2 Software with full Milltek exhaust makes 230bhp and 265lbs/ft torque. P-Torque stage 1 = £265.00 all in including before/after dyno runs P-Torque Stage 2 - £325.00 al in including before/after dyno runs Is it worth it? Ohhhh yes
  10. Hi Chris They are great around corners They will hold up fine we have carried out alot of tests, and have a partner company who has run a Cooper D for over 1 year now, and 51,000 miles Enjoy chucking it about
  11. Yes, we tune alot of these for the Mini2 forum members. With the P-Torque software we are seeing approx 139bhp Check out www.mini2.com and you can find a few P-Torque'd customer review on both the Cooper D and Cooper S turbo
  12. I'm hurt you have to ask after I started a discount price for you too :eviltongu
  13. If you have the knowledge, and you feel there is alot of profit involved, then why don't you start a ECU tuning company (not Ebay a ''company'') and sell maps for the price you think is fair and cheaper after developing them all (allowing for at least 14 different software versions for every engine type i.e 130PD, 1.8T 150bhp, 1.8T 180bhp etc etc which must be developed individually)? Once you have done this and succeeded, then you can quiz professional tuners
  14. The tool update which only flashes the later ECU used in the 170 CR cost us £12,500 and up to 2 - 3 weeks unpaid development time. .....for ONE ECU type. We also have software updates to allow this ECU to be tuned which is a further £14,000 with ongoing updates for various software versions. This thread is not for me or any other tuner to post every price for every ECU type and vehicle. I'm the only tuner that has bothered answering your questions, but please, don't feel like you need to direct all your questions at me.
  15. I think I'll leave this for any other tuners that can be bothered to get involved and try and help explain costs its obviously a thread I should have left alone
  16. Any ''big'' tuner will encrypt and protect their software, as we do, so that others cannot copy their knowledge and distribute software. We do this ourselves, as the only non-encrypted software out there is usually because its not worth encrypting, or they don't know how to encrypt it!
  17. Garages aren't quite as specialist as software tuners though I agree that £500.00 is expensive for a stage 1, but ours is £265.00 all in, our custom tuning is around £400.00 I think you have to allow for some tuners having dealers...so they have to allow profit margin for their dealers, on top of the dealers paying for the software.
  18. We charge £265.00 all in to members. People easily forget the overheads and costs that a genuine tuner has. Advertising Insurance Dyno....minimum £30,000 + servicing costs Everyday overheads....the dyno fan alone uses a huge amount of electricity and don't forget, unless you go to an idiot with a cheap tuning tool who thinks hes a tuner, you are paying a technician with vast knowledge in his field so he knows exactly what is happening in the software, allowing for adjustment to overcome any particular issues. Its also nice to know that your transmission, turbo, and engine are safe...and that your £1000.00 ecu is not going to be killed by poor software, tuning hardware or lack of knowledge
  19. Remaps are off the shelf products that do the same thing, they vary hugely Cheaper is rarely better in the tuning world :P
  20. Hi The remap will be £495.00 all in. We are currently in discussion with a possible agent in Ireland although I doubt they will be offering mapping for these later models, as the tool is approx £15,000 to flash just EDC17 models
  21. Nope...we were the first UK tuner to offer remaps via OBD for the new BMW EDC17's VAG EDC17 soon to come....
  22. We fit alot of forge intercoolers to the 130PD.....very good results and nice fitment
  23. 1) Is it worth it? Bang for buck Yes, a remap is one of the best mods you can have for the money (2) Normal driving will fuel economy be better or worse? Economy will improve slightly when mapped correctly (3) Will it cane my clutch/gearbox? No, stage 1 software should be developed around the stock clutch (4) anyone had this particular one done? N/A (5) I want good accerleration and thats about it not bothered about top end will it achieve that well? Yes, lower rev range pick up is vastly improved, with very strong mid range torque. Our software is developed to hold torque at higher revs...not just an aggressive spike with heavy tail off...this will differ between different maps though (6) Do I need the brake pads uprated and if so what ones? Unless you intending to track the car, then the brakes will be fine. EBC greenstuff are good road pads though (7) Is it wise to get an oil change done before I get it remapped and then more often? Just make sure your car is serviced correctly. Once mapped services and oil changes are exactly the same (8) Any other comments? Make sure the car has a good health check and diagnostics before mapping to ensure all is well before mapping We offer members the P-Torque remap for £265.00 all in. Please have a read of our forum section for other member reviews
  24. P-Torque basically offer a stage 1 software upgrade, which is heavily developed for the stock set up. All our other stages are custom tunes for various mods. Stage 2 tends to be when a customer has uprated the clutch for stronger torque Stage 3 is for further mods such as injectors, intercoolers, exhaust hybrid turbos etc etc
