The local dealer had two. One in the showroom under wraps and one outside on display. Didnt have a price on mind. Got to admit I didnt like the look of it when I seem pictures on tinternet. But they look alright in the metal.

I got myself a Road Angel. But it doesnt work in the Rennie as it as a UV windscreen. I know you can get external antenna but I don't want to have run a cable over the roof. Is there any other internal antenna I can get? Thanks

Here where I live the local Honda dealer has a wonderful new showroom. Gives you a good impression when you walk in. And two Skoda dealers not far from me works out of an old petrol stations (one I think still is a petrol station. I went to a local Skoda dealership. I looked was looking at a 05 reg Fabia vRS. The car was on the forecourt complete with for sale prices and so on. So the guy showed me the car and it was filthy. There was mud all over the carpets, the seats were not very clean, there was even some clear wrapping paper on the floor. The outside was also dirty. Needless to say I wasnt impressed.

Thanks for the advice. Will see what happens. Although one thought I have had. Get a vRS and get it chipped and sort the suspension out. I would love a Type R but I think it seems crazy with the miles I do. It would never be out of the fuel staion.

When I get myself back on my feet I am going to look at either a Civic Type R or a Fabia vRS. I know they are two totally different cars. My heart says get the Civic but my head says get the Fabia. I clock up about 15 - 18000 a year so the Fabia would be far cheaper to run. But after driving a friends Type R I was very very impressed.....and was grinning like a Cheshire cat. Dont know what to do?

Just want to say thanks I do really appriciate it. Will I am going to get some counselling within a few weeks.

And here was me thinking Skoda's were very reliable. Left me thinking if I should go back to a Honda or a Toyota for my next car.

I had Kumhos on my Honda Civic. In the dry they were pretty good but in the wet they were poor. The Toyo Proxies T1Rs I have on the Rennie are good. Good in the dry and in the wet.

As the title says really. I have been diagnosed with depression but I am worried that I might loose my job because of it or that it might make getting jobs harder in the future (I work as a IT Technician for a local council). Skoda customer care can't be worse than Renault.

I don't own a Skoda......yet. I have liked Skoda's since I saw a picture of my dad's old 135. It seems more friendly than a Renault forum I am on.

I would of expected more HP from a 6.1l engine. I mean Mitsubishi got 400BHP from a 2.0l.

I would have to test drive both cars before making a decision. But having said that I do like performance diesels. I would of thought the petrol vRS will be considerably quicker than the diesel version. 200BHP against 170.

I have been told that most of the main roads in France are supposed to be well maintained. Are the tolls in France expensive?

I read somewhere on tinternet that VW were dropping their PD diesels for a common rail diesels. Something to do with emissions. I thought the PD system was a better than the common rail one. If that makes sense. Does anyone know if it is true?

I would rather have a Supercharged Range Rover.

I got emotional about the Toyota Corolla I had. It survived a accident with a BMW X5 , travelled many thousands of miles without missing a beat. Swapped it for a French biscuit tin and regretted it.
