  1. Read here...mostly minor stuff but for previous Kodiaq owners they'd tell some differences.
  2. Yep. I reckon MY20 pre-BW48 were the best Kodiaqs. The only thing I like about these new ones are the steering wheels and wireless CarPlay, obviously not enough to get anyone to upgrade given the cost cutting.
  3. It’ll be interesting to see if what ŠKODA has removed throughout the years will return in the facelift. I’m doubtful though.
  4. I just find it funny seeing how mad you get
  5. I think if it’s an S or SE it may not since those don’t have the full led taillights iirc.
  6. Yeah BMW let you do this. One more reason why I'd like to upgrade to an X5.
  7. It’ll blow up in a week, obviously.
  8. Yeah it depends on the engine. There were only one or two variants of the 1.4 that needed it AFAIK
  9. Police replace Holden vehicle fleet with Skoda - NZ Herald The New Zealand Police have chosen to replace the Holden Commodore (Vauxhall Insignia) police cars with the Skoda Superb Wagon. A no brainer given the space in the Superbs - the Police had to replace their liftback Commodores due to rear passenger space constraints. It seems to be that the 220PS motor will be used for general duties while the 280PS variant will be used for highway patrol.
  10. Just like a lot of other people here he's a devil's advocate
  11. An external dash cam is as aftermarket as a roof rack in my eyes - doesn’t matter if branded by the OEM or not it’s an aftermarket accessory. I agree with you about parking recording, but you wouldn’t get the sides of the car unless you have an integrated system or one of those two way front cameras (which the interior facing camera would only be able to see through the windows anyways)
  12. Aftermarket in the sense that it’s an accessory that can be installed in the factory. Just like how with some VW group cars you can option a boot mat as a factory option.
  13. The one you linked is just a branded aftermarket one, not the ones using onboard cameras I thought you were talking about.
  14. You can already have 3 with MY21, the mirror port being an option (not available everywhere) Source? I only know of BMW Drive Recorder and the GM dash cam solution. The BMW one is pretty nice.
  15. Yeah I use CarPlay (USB media doesn’t work since I only use Spotify - says “no files found”) and it takes a while to charge compared to even a 10W charger. Don’t like Bluetooth as it doesn’t show album art, however now that the MIB 3 system does, if I get another Kodiaq then that niggle will be fixed.
  16. That joke must’ve flown right over your head
  17. That makes even more of a point then. Too bad no cars on the market do proper fast charging
  18. Up until a week ago I had a five year old iPhone 6S...I think the first mainstream smartphone to get USB-C was the Samsung S9 which came out two years ago, so it’s not like the car industry has implemented the new standard ‘so soon’ etc etc. What the car manufacturer should do is source Type-C adapters and send them to the dealerships, then at the time of delivery the customer can choose whether they want it or not. @linni maybe you can tell the eco warrior that eating a single vegetarian meal will probably save the same amount of emissions as producing a single cable 😂
  19. I think you might need to adjust the wiper arms. I need to as well
  20. A car's lifespan is far longer than a cables...10 years down the line there will be plenty of Kodiaqs being driven still. At a certain point the manufacturer has to get with the times.
  21. USB Type C was released with a new USB standard called USB Power Delivery (PD) for quick charging, however, the car doesn't support this. Not sure what the problem is with spending £12 on a new cable is compared to a car...seems rather trivial to me. Facelift reveal is first half next year from what I've heard down the grapevine.
  22. Yep had a loaner MY20 1.5 TSI for a day and it was fine.
  23. From what I've heard, the factory has no supply of heated steering wheels and are just putting normal steering wheels regardless if the heating wheel was optioned or not...
  24. They do that to cover their arses in the event you go and tow a maximum permissible capacity up hills in 40°C climates. Of course they ‘overengineer’ things for typical use.
  25. Park Assist wouldn’t even work on a car with correct coding.
