  1. Mines ready from Thursday, have you managed to get in touch with skoda insurance to set up your free cover, I've on an off today spent over 1hr listening to the hold music.
  2. Got told yesterday its being shipped and should be ready for me in 2 weeks, oh and £137.99 fully comp protected etc.
  3. It looks good, I take it basically its a clear wrap?, how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?, also like your rear sunshades.
  4. Probably a bit of both, in my case the Toyota has a flatter nose than the Volvo.
  5. It sounds like they've managed to keep it the same as the old one then, oh I do hope they offer it in a nice tasteful metallic brown, it'll take me right back!!!
  6. I've got a 2.5 y/o Toyota with 20k on the clock, plenty of stone chips and scratches around where you grab the door handle, also a 15+ y/o Volvo with 160k on the clock, less stone chips, so I reckon the newer paints aren't as good.
  7. I have and i'd like, but you live miles away!!
  8. I'm still waiting for mine, but should have it soon, it will probably be 10-12 weeks from order, if I didn't mind about the colour and I didn't add any extras then I think it could have been weeks, just depending on whats available. Yes you can have the finance in your name and the V5 in hers, I've managed to do this on a Toyota, i never meant to, it was just I was doing the dealing so to speak for my wifes car and all the finance paperwork was in my name. Just stress it to the dealer and it should be fine. Like you I prefer the Skoda, however also like you i'm not a 17 y/o girl, your daughter may well prefer the Mii. As has been said pretend she's passed her test and as you've done 'alter' her age to get a more accurate insurance price, the insurance companies seem very hot on fronting (insure in your name and add her as a named driver, when its her car), I really don't think its worth the risk nowadays.
  9. Would love the boot, but guess Wilts is going to make it too far, and I guess postage will make it unviable?
  10. Do people have the current prices for the floor?, and are you cheaper going to VW, Skoda, or Seat?
  11. Yeah i'd say a torx, a lot of people call them star drives, and the T bit of T140 also points to that, but 140 is huge, maybe a typo? and its T40?, don't think they do a T14 after maybe T10 they go up in 5's I think.
  12. I had a green micra as my banger a few years ago, all be it a 1.3 auto(cvt), it would happily do quite a few quick cars off the lights, up to about 50. OCD, your right, they are popular, I guess its the cheaper insurance with them being that little bit slower?
  13. Well, apparently its train not wagon, and mines on one, so getting there, which is nice as mine was only running on 4 cylinders today, I imagine the getting them onto/off a boat, customs, transport etc will take a while though. I did ask about your's but apparently reds a little, well quite a lot actually slower than other colours, so could be a while, sorry.
  14. You don't fancy a V70 do you!!!!
  15. Well i'm shocked and appalled that you couldn't be bothered to ask about mine tbh!!!! lol,, whats an SLI number!!!, oh and while were talking of numbers what number do I call!!!
  16. Is it definitely a factory fit set of parking sensors or a dealer after market fit?, whist you sit in the car with it in reverse but not moving get a friend to walk about behind you and see what visual displays you get to go with the audible ones.
  17. What did they say about mine?
  18. Have you tried a micra cvt box?, unfortunately also heavier on fuel than the citigo and the micra now is a little larger than it once was (aren't we all).
  19. Now you tell me!!! I thought yours was week 12?, mines being built this week and have been told its week 14. I guess the CC all depends on the car, I had a ford 2l tdci a while ago, the revs in 6th were nice and low at realistic motorway speeds, unfortunately the CC seriously struggled on any hills. The V70 seems happy enough on any hills though, 5 cylinders probably helps a fair bit though.
  20. +1, no way a bike could have done this damage unless he'd crashed, then there would have been a lot more damage to your car.
  21. Of if the car has some brake binding, although I wouldn't expect that of a new car to be fair.
  22. LOL, I sold my bike on Sunday, although an easier switch, 1L 3 pot to 1L 3 pot, I doubt i'll be able to tell the difference.
  23. So then, built by now I guess, happy days. Will be interesting to see how long to get to you.

    12V Socket

Its a 5 door, the wires aren't a problem, I play with electrics for work. The problem for me is getting it looking neat, i'm not very good at that!! The kids only use the tablets for longer journeys, and a lot of the longer journeys will need to be done in the main car for boot space, so the battery pack chargers at £5-£10 are going to win I think.
  25. Taking my extra's off i'd say about 190 less than me, so , although i'm on 6k a year, I've no idea how much this effects.
